Yeshua the Name for Thanksgiving
(Ps100:4-5, 142:7; 1Th5:28)
God is the Lord of grace.
Grace comes from Him, and
He gives grace in His name.
Faith is knowing Him and receiving His grace, and
The life of this faith is giving thanks for His name while being alive in the world.
While everyone says, "thanks,
They say it without truly knowing to whom or for what.
Consequently, their thanks ends up changing to resentment and complaint.
While he enjoyed everything abundantly in the Garden of Eden, not knowing thanksgiving,
Once deceived by the devil and taking the forbidden fruit,
Adam sinned and lost everything (Ge2:17, 3:6, 16-19, 24).
When God delivered the people of Israel from their slavery in Egypt and
Led them into the land of Canaan (Ex34:12),
He let them miraculously survive the desert.
But all those who resented and complained against Him died in the desert (1Co10:10).
Nevertheless, all feasts of Israel were to commemorate this and
Give thanks to the name Jehovah:
The Passover was remembering how the blood of the lamb death passed over them (Ex12:13);
The Feast of Unleavened Bread was remembering how God gave them food in the desert (Ex34:18);
The Feast of Tabernacles was remembering how the sun did not harm them by day nor the moon by night (Lev23:34, 42; Ps121);
The Feast of Weeks was giving their firstfruits in the Promised Land (Ex34:12, 22); and
The Feast of Ingathering was giving the stored firstfruits at the turn of the year (Ex34:22).
The sanctuary was the copies for the exodus and the feasts of Israel (Ex13:10; He9:23):
The blood of sacrifice on the altar of burnt offering ” the Passover;
The bronze basin ” passing through the Red Sea;
The showbread ” the Feast of the Unleavened Bread;
The lampstand ” the pillars of fire and clouds ” the Feast of Tabernacles;
The table of showbread ” the Feast of Weeks; and
The Most Holy Place ” the Feats of Ingathering.
They were to give thanks to the Lord with fellowship offering (Lev7:11-14).
When the time had come,
The Son of God came to the world in the name Yeshua ” salvation from sin and death (Mt1:21).
He said, "Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would fulfill the fellowship offering of thanksgiving for all the feasts of the Old Testament (He10:9).
As He died, Yeshua said, "It is finished (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Willingly gave His life and thanks for the name of the Father who would
bring His soul out of prison (Ps69:29-30, 142:7; Jnh2:9; Jn17:11; He5:7);
2) Condemned the devil the ungrateful one (Eze28:12-14; Is14:12-15; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Died in place of all men, paying the price of their sin and shed His redeeming blood for them (Mt20:28).
The Father raised Him up and
Seated Him on the throne of grace (He4:15).
The Spirit of Grace testifies the name Yeshua (He10:29) and
Lets believers give thanks from their souls for His name.
The Christian is he who
From the moment he receives the name Yeshua to the moment of his death
Begins with thanksgiving and ends with thanksgiving (1Th5:18) for
By His name he was led out of sin, death, the devil and hell, and
Has received daily bread, protection, many gifts and answers to prayer,
As he long to enter in that day
The heavenly gates with thanksgiving and praising the name Yeshua (Ps100:4-5).
O Lord,
As I look back this past year
I can only give thanks for the name Yeshua because
By possessing this one name, I possess everything.
Yeshua, thanksgiving!
I give thanks to You for the name Yeshua! Amen.
