Yeshua the Boast of My Soul
(Ps34:2; 1Co1:18-31)

God is worthy to be praised (Ps145:4).
There is no one who has His attributes and character and
There is no one who does what He does.
He brings those who boast Him into the New Jerusalem which is filled with praises (Rev21:23-26).

Faith is knowing what my boast is and
The life of this faith is considering all things I boast as rubbish and only boasting Yeshua (Php3:3-8).

Though the tongue is a very small part of the body,
It affects the whole course of one’s life (Jas3:5-6).
By boasting in arrogance one’s knowledge, experience, talent, environment, possessions, family etc
He brings despair to others as it is evil (Jas4:16).
Boasting the name of God in one’s soul, however,
Gives strength to the afflicted (Ps34:2).

All mankind was seized of all sources for boasting, left with nothing but shame for
Their ancestor Adam sinned and became a slave to the devil (Ge3:4-6; 2Pe2:19) — that is,
Satan, the archangel who boasted his beauty and talents and
Tried to steal the praises due God in the spiritual heaven and was
Cast down to Hades, eternally made a spectacle (Eze28:12-17) and
Contained until the great day of judgement (Jude1:6).

God called the Israelites while they were drowning in shame from slavery for 430 years, and
Made them His holy people (Ex3:10) and instilled in them
An exceptional sense of pride for:
The name of God; the Law; their deeds, circumcision (the symbol of the covenant),
Their ancestors (flesh and blood), the temple etc (Ps44:8; Rm2:17, 23; Gal6:13; Php3:5; Mk13:1).

For all their boasting was in the flesh,
John the Baptist cried out for them to correct their arrogant boasting (Mt3:9), and
Yeshua condemned their charitable deeds, prayer, fasting etc which were
All done to show others (Mt6:1-18; Lk18:10-14).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days," because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
He would become the boast of not the flesh but the soul:
The temple—the name of Jehovah—the Law—the pride of Israel—flesh and blood—external;
His body—the name of Yeshua—the Truth—the pride of souls—of all nations—spiritual.
Yet He had nothing boastful about His flesh (Is53:2-3) and
He only boasted the Father (Lk18:19).

According to His prophecy, He was lifted up (Jn8:28, 12:32-34; Gal3:13), and
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1)     Humbled Himself through the most shameful death and lifted up the Father (Php2:6-11);
2)     Condemned the devil who tried to lift himself up (Is14:12-15; 1Jn3:8); and
3)     His death—redeemed—all mankind—paid the price of sin, shame and death;
His blood—sprinkled—for all souls—to become their eternal boast (1Co1:30-31).

His resurrection is His crown, His pride.
He ascended the throne in heaven and receives all praises forever (Rev5:13).
The Holy Spirit whom He sent testifies the name of Yeshua.

Those who receive the name of Yeshua (Jn1:12) are
Those who, because of their unrighteousness, sin, failure, lowliness, shame etc,
Have nothing to boast about their flesh.
Rather, they make Yeshua the boast of their souls, that is,
His redemption, righteousness, holiness, wisdom, beauty, power etc (1Co1:26-31).

The Christian is he who, even if throws away his own as garbage,
Makes his soul with the blood of Yeshua as his pride.
He seeks the afflicted souls and endlessly boasts about:
The name of God, Yeshua, which he possesses; the fact that he was baptized;
The great surpassing knowledge, the truth, that he knows;
The church of truth; and his pastor who feeds him the truth (Php3:3, 7-11; Col2:11; 1Ti3:15; Jer3:15),
For he longs to one day enter the New Jerusalem which is filled with praises (Rev21:23-24).

O Lord,
Whomever I meet in the world,
No matter the circumstances of my life,
How confident, bold and proud I am!
I am a soul made an heir to the King of kings by His blood!  How truly proud I am!
Let me go to the ends of the earth and continue to boast Yeshua!  Amen.
