The Will of the Lord

(Jn6:38-40; Eph5:16-17)

God has a will.

He made all things according to His will (Rev4:11) and

His will never changes (Job23:13; He6:17).

He lets those who do His will enter His kingdom (Mt7:21).

Faith is understanding the will of the Lord and

The life of this faith is doing His will.

The human culture and civilization are the result of man's will.

Everyone, whether a student, a businessman, a politician or a scientist, has his own will.

If understanding the will of a man of high position is important,

How much more important would it be to understand the will of God?

It determines whether one will enter eternal life or eternal condemnation (Mt25:46).

However, Adam the living being misunderstood the will of God and

Ate the forbidden fruit (Ge3:4-6), because of which

All men became hell-bound with the devil (Mt25:41).

The Bible illustrates the will of the Lord, starting with

The creation of the world as purposed and designed by God in the beginning (Ge1:1; Rm1:19-20),

As recent discoveries in DNA analysis also provide scientific evidence for

Intelligent design that created life, not a random, natural process.

God commanded the descendants of Israel to keep

The Passover ceremony to remember how they left Egypt by signs and wonders (Ex12:26-27), and

The decrees and laws received through Moses (Dt6:20-24)

In order to live for God is life, longevity (Lev18:5; Dt4:40, 30:19-20).

Accordingly, the cities of refuge built for those who killed unintentionally (Nu35:6-34),

The atoning sacrifice that sinners gave,

The sanctuary where the blood of sacrifice was always present were

All mechanisms by which they extended their breath.

Misunderstanding this, however,

Job insisted on his righteousness and suffered greatly as a result (Job10:6-8).

Yeshua came and said, "Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days," because

Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-22),

He would give not longevity but eternal life to all who believe Him (Jn3:16, 10:28) for

He is the incarnate Word who was with the Father in the beginning,

The one and only Son (Jn1:1, 14, 18) and

He only did according to the will of the Father who sent Him (Jn6:38-40).

As He died, He said, "It is finished" (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Died according to the will of the Father who made all things for the Son,

by obeying His command (Jn10:17-8, 12:50; He1:2);
2) Judged the thief devil (Jn10:8); and
3) Gave the redeeming blood and gave life to all men (Mt20:28).

He rose and revealed that He is life (2Ti1:10) and

Sat on the heavenly throne.

The Holy Spirit whom He sent lets believers know the will of the Lord:

To give eternal life to those who look to the Son and believe and

To lose not even one of those given.

The man of the Spirit sows

Not for the flesh to reap destruction

But for the Spirit to reap eternal life (Gal6:8).

Therefore, not wasting his life on the day called, "this day" (Eph5:15-16; Jas4:13-15),

According to the will of the Lord

He makes effort to raise all those given to him for he has the lasting power of life.

O Lord,

If combat medics make effort to save even their enemies,

Then, make us evangelists who at the last day

Raise up the souls of even our enemies! Amen.
