The Purpose of Life

(Dt30:19-20; Jn5:39-40)

God is everlasting.

With no beginning or end He is always living, and

He eternally enjoys the life that is joyful, happy and glorious.

Faith is making eternal life the purpose of one's life, and

The life of this faith is living for eternal life, even if it means death.

While we now live in a far more advanced world than that of the past,

The suicide rate continues to grow worldwide.

This is because, even though people live earnestly from the moment they were born,

They do not know the purpose of life -- an irony of the human life.

The Bible is a book that records the purpose of God.

Those who know Him can ultimately live the life that is led by its purpose.

During the creation, to the non-living things God said, "let there be" (Ge1:3),

While to the living things, He said, "be fruitful and multiply" (Ge1:20-22) and

To humans, He said, "be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it" (Ge1:28).

As such, all things are earnestly carrying out to this day according to His purpose.

However, a problem occurred with the command that

God gave to Adam, the living being (Ge2:17):

Deceived by the devil, Adam ate the forbidden fruit and was then

Banished from the Garden;

All men thereafter became lost, not knowing the purpose of their life (Ge3:4-6, 24).

The exodus of Israel, who had been slaves in Egypt for 400 years, was

According to the covenant that God made to their ancestor, Abraham (Ge15:13), and

According to the vow that Jacob made about returning to his father's house (Ge28:21).

The Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years during which

Almost all of them fell there and died since

They could not endure the difficult circumstances and

Thus lost their sense of direction and wanted to return to Egypt (Nu14:4-33).

The sanctuary reminded them, nevertheless, that

"Jehovah is the God of the life of the flesh" (Nu27:16),

While the Law commanded them to choose life for them to live (Dt30:19-20).

But because they did not listen

They became wanderers among the nations (Hos9:17).

Yeshua said, "Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days" (Jn2:19-20),

Because through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,

He would be reveal not Jehovah the God of the life of all flesh

But Yeshua the God of the life of all souls for

He is the incarnate Word from the beginning (Jn1:1, 4, 14),

The incarnate life that was in God, the Son of God (Jn14:6).

The Scriptures indicate that

Those seeking eternal life must know Yeshua (Jn5:39, 17:3), and that

His word gives life to the spirit (Jn6:63).

But He was handed over to death by those who did not understand Him.

As He died, Yeshua said, "It is finished" (Jn19:30), declaring that He:

1) Following the Father's command laid down His life in order to receive it back (Jn10:17-18);

2) Judged the devil, the ruler of death (He2:14; 1Jn3:8); and

3) Sprinkled His redeeming blood so that all men can drink it and live (Jn6:65; Eph1:7).

He resurrected and ascended to heaven and

Sat on the throne as the Lamb who died but is alive forevermore (Rev1:18).

The Holy Spirit comes to

Those who are alive, the souls that came to life by the blood of Yeshua (2Co4:11) and

Lets them live the life that is led by the purpose of

Going to the Father's house to live eternally (Jn14:2).

The Christian no longer lives

Neither like an animal nor a civilized man,

But rather like a living being.

Therefore he does not worry for either his breath or his flesh (Mt6:25-34).

Instead, he goes out carrying in his body the death of Yeshua (2Co4:10-11)

To the souls who have lost their way and

Teaches them the purpose of life.

O Lord,

If all men could know the true purpose of life

There would not be any violence, crime, terrorism or even suicide in the world.

Let us no longer do meaningless things.

Let us no longer waste our time.

Let eternal life be the purpose of our life! Amen.
