The Holy Spirit Is the Spirit of the Lord
(Ps86:8-10; 1Co12:3)
God is the Lord (Ps86:2).
By His word, He created all things and He is the Owner (Rm11:36) and
With His own blood, He purchased souls and He is the Redeemer (1Pe1:18-19).
Faith is knowing that God is my Lord and that I am His servant, which is my happiness (Ps16:2), and
The life of this faith is willingly becoming His servant and following Him wherever He goes for
“Lord” means the head and
The head and the body have a common destiny and cannot be separated.
The Bible speaks of this master-servant relationship:
God created all things to be their Owner (Jn1:1-3)
By commanding them and they submitted and they are all His (Ps74:16, 89:11; Hag2:8).
Adam, the ancestor of mankind, however,
Listened to his wife who was deceived by the devil (Ge3:4-6) and
Took the fruit that God forbid (Ge2:17).
As a result, all men became slaves of the devil (2Pe2:19), hell-bound with the devil (Mt25:41).
With a servant’s attitude, the father of faith Abraham welcomed Jehovah (Ge18:3-5),
While Jacob sent ahead all his possessions across the Jabbok
To return the ownership to the Lord God (Ge32:9-32).
By His great power God brought out Israel from Egypt the land of slavery of 400 years (Dt6:12, 9:29)
Distinguishing from all the other people on the face of the earth (Ex33:16)
To follow God who went before them (Nu14:14).
The commandment that they received let them know that there is no god like the LORD (Dt10:17).
The sanctuary reminded them that
Jehovah = the Lord of Israel, and Israel = Jehovah’s people whom He redeemed (Dt21:8).
Although God could not show His face (Ex33:18-20), He showed signs that Jehovah was their Lord:
Jehovah = the angel of God = the angel of Jehovah = the LORD = the Spirit of Jehovah = God (Jdg6:16-17, 20-23, 34-36).
According to the prophecy, suddenly the Lord they were seeking came to His temple (Mal3:1):
Yeshua appeared before it and said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,”
Because through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
He would reveal that He is not the angel of God but
God who came in the flesh (Jn1:1, 14) to be the Lord of the souls of all nations (Is63:16).
He commanded and calmed the storm (Mt8:26-27), commanded healing (Mt8:13, 15:28),
Commanded the disciple to walk on water (Mt14:28) and
Commanded demons to submit (Mk1:25-26) — they all did.
To the disciples who followed Him
He promised thrones and eternal life at the renewal of all things (Mt19:27-29) and
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Laid down His life following the Father’s command, declaring that the Father is the Lord and the Son is the
Father’s servant (Jn10:17-18, 12:50; Ac2:32, 4:37; 1Co3:23);
2) Condemned the devil who denied the head (Is14:12-15); and
3) Through His death paid the price of sin for all men, that is, death (Rm6:23), and with His blood purchased
all mankind and became the Redeemer (1Pe1:18-19).
He resurrected and ascended to heaven and became the Lord of lords (Rev17:14).
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Lord who
Comes to the souls redeemed by the blood of Christ and
Lets them confess that He is Lord (1Co8:5-6, 12:3) and
Gathers them on the Lord’s Day to worship the Lord (Rev1:10).
The man of the Spirit knows the fact that Yeshua is his Lord is his happiness (Ps16:2, 23:1-6), and
For he loves the Lord, he becomes Christ’s free slave (Ex21:2-6; 1Co7:22).
He does not worry about life because he belongs to the Lord (Mt6:31-34) and
He willingly submits to the Lord’s command for there is only “Yes” in Christ (2Co1:19-20),
For where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom (2Co3:13-17).
As an unworthy servant (Lk17:10), he lives for the Lord (Rm14:8) and
Strives to be found as a good and faithful servant when the Lord returns (Mt25:14-30).
O my Lord Yeshua!
Apart from You, I have no good thing!
Let the veil of fear be removed from all of us and
Let us follow You willingly. Amen. Come Lord Yeshua (Rev22:20)!
