I Am A Debtor

(Rm1:14-15)

God is the God of grace (1Pe5:10).

He shows grace that cannot be paid back and

Lets those who know grace willingly become a slave of love for Him (Ex21:1-6).

Faith is knowing that one has become a debtor to His grace and

The life of this faith is paying back for the debt of His love.

Whether it is an individual, a corporation or a nation

Anyone in debt prioritizes paying back the debt for

They want to not default on their credit and be freed from the invisible chains.

God gives grace to whom He gives grace (Ex33:19) and

He gives no grace to those are to be destroyed (Jos11:20).

Those who received His grace in the Bible were those who

Considered it God's favor to reveal Himself and speak to them.

Noah received the warning about the great deluge (Ge6:8, 13) and

Built an ark to save his household and himself (He11:7).

Abraham asked the Lord to not pass by and

Hosted a feast having found favor in His sight (Ge18:3-5).

Lot knew that he found favor in His sight in saving his life (Ge19:19-20) and thus

Escaped the destruction of Sodom by brimstone fire.

The Israelites were a people who had received grace because of their ancestors (2Ki13:23).

They were delivered from slavery after 400 years (Ex12:41) and

As they were leaving Egypt they took possession of all the treasures of Egypt (Ex12:31).

Furthermore, the people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness (Jer31:2).

The sanctuary where the name Jehovah, the mercy seat and the golden vase of manna were

Let them render to the Lord for all His goodness to them (Ps116:12) and

Gave them hope for those in captivity to return (Ps145:7).

They were destroyed, however, for they became proud and ungrateful (2Ch32:25).

Yeshua said, "Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days," because

Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19),

He would with the blood of not animals but the Son of Man

Deliver from not the slavery in Egypt but the slavery to the devil, to sin (Rm6:12; 2Pe2:19) for

He came as grace upon grace, the only begotten Son (Jn1:1, 14-17).

As He died, He said, "It is finished" (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Tasted death through the suffering of His death and confessed the Father's grace, thus eternally
crowned with glory and honor (He2:7-9);
2) Judged the devil the ungrateful one (Is14:12-15; 1Jn3:8); and
3) With His blood redeemed all men of their sins, that is, cancelling their debts (Mt18:27; Eph1:7).

He resurrected and ascended to heaven and sat on the throne of grace (He4:16),

The grace that the Father prepared for the Son.

The Spirit of grace who came from there (He10:19)

Lets the believers know how great the grace of Christ is (1Co1:12), that is,

The worth of His suffering on the cross and His precious blood (1Pe1:18-19).

He who received grace is he who

Has been forgiven and become a debtor to His love.

The more he tries to pay back the more he knows that there is no way to pay back, and so

Willingly becomes a free slave of Christ's love to death (1Co7:22; Eph6:6).

Therefore, he is compelled to preach the gospel of grace to whomever (Ac20:24; Rm1:14-15).

He infinitely forgives his brother who sinned against him (Mt18:21-25),

Becomes a good steward in His body the church (1Pe4:10) and

Shares all good things with the one who taught him grace (Gal6:6) for

He longs to receive the greater grace brought when Christ returns (1Pe1:13).

O Lord,

Before Your costly grace

I am an eternal debtor!

Now in chains to Your grace

Let me never escape from this marsh of grace until my last breath and

Let me pay back the debt of Your love so that

On the day You return I may receive the grace You will bring! Amen.
