Draw Near To the Throne of Grace

(He4:14-16)

God is the Lord of Grace.

Grace comes from Him and

He gracious to those who long for His grace.

Faith is knowing and receiving His grace, and

The life of this faith is drawing near to the throne of grace to find grace to help in time of need.

The throne represents a king's authority to decide on matters of life or death.

It is from there the king shows his mercy on those who

Risk their life to approach him and redress their situation.

God cannot help men because there is sin that stands between God and them, since

Their ancestor, Adam, sinned and was

Banished from the Garden which became shielded by the flaming sword (Ge3:4-6, 24).

Thereafter, the site of conversation between God and men was shut down.

Nevertheless, when the people of Israel cried out to God,

Their cry of help because of their slavery in Egypt went up to God (Ex2:23, 3:9) and

God called Moses to bring them out.

God spoke to no one else but Moses (Ex10:1; Nu12:8) for

Moses took off his sandals on holy ground (Ex3:5) and

Only in a holy place one can converse with God.

By the blood of the Passover lamb the Israelite left Egypt (Ex12:12-13) and

God commanded them to build the sanctuary in the desert (Ex25:8) for

Only above the mercy seat inside the Most Holy Place

God met and spoke with them (Ex25:22).

Yet it was only with the high priest who put on the ephod (Ex28:4; 1Sa23:6, 9),

Only after the sprinkling of the blood of animal (Ex29:20), and

Only before the mercy seat where the name of God was (2Ch2:6).

Referring to the Temple of Jerusalem, also called, the house of prayer for all nations (Mk11:17),

Jesus said, "Destroy this temple and I will raise again in three days (Jn2:19), because

Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,

He would establish the throne of grace and

Open a new way for whosoever to draw near to seek His help (He10:19-20).

He prayed from early in the morning to late at night, wherever He could (Mk1:25; Jn11:41-42), and

Even on the last night of His public life He ended with prayer (Mt26:36-45).

As He died, Jesus said, "It is finished (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Himself in His death on the cross needed the Father's mercy and that the Father alone is the Lord of grace (He5:7);
2) Condemned the devil, the separator (1Jn3:8); and
3) Carried the weakness of man and shed His blood to make them holy through His torn flesh (Is53:4; He9:22; 1Pe2:24).

His essence is the holy Son of God (Mt16:16; Mk1:24; Jn1:1, 14) while

His duty is the Son of Man, wrapped in the weakness of man.

Therefore He is the only one Mediator between God and man, the eternal High Priest (1Ti2:5).

He resurrected and ascended to heaven and sat down on the throne, which is

What He received as grace from the Father and also

From where He shows His mercy and grace to those who

By the confidence gained through His blood draw near.

The Spirit of grace comes inside the souls made holy by the blood of Jesus and

Establishes the throne in them.

He lets them know what to pray for as He intercedes for them (Rm8:26-27).

The man of the Spirit is he who

Kneels before the name Yeshua and

Asks desperately whatever he needs, whenever, wherever (He4:16) for

He longs to finally draw near to the throne of grace in heaven in that day.

O Lord,

For You know how we are formed (Ps103:14) and

Understand the weakness of our flesh (He4:15),

You made a way for us to receive Your grace and mercy!

Let us never forsake prayer.

Let us consider our needs as our blessing and

Daily come to our knees before the name Yeshua to live by Your help! Amen.
