Confessing the Lord

(Ps51:10-17; Rm10:9-10)

God is the Lord of glory.

Glory comes from Him and returns to Him (Ps96:7), and

He receives glory from those who confess He is Lord and finally saves them.

Faith is acknowledging His attribute and confessing, and

The life of this faith is confessing that Yeshua is one's Lord before men in order to be
acknowledged by Him in the last day (Rev3:5).

All deeds of the Christian, such as

Repentance, worship, praise, thanksgiving, baptism, testimony, and evangelism are

Deeds of acknowledging Yeshua before men (Mt10:32) for

There will come a day when He will acknowledge me before the Father and His angels, as

Even in the world's court, the consequence of either confession or denial is like night and day.

All men will stand before the judgement seat of Christ (Rm14:10) and

Give account to Him (1Pe4:5) since

Their ancestor Adam was deceived by the devil and sinned.

However, the grace given to men was that

They were given the chance to confess their sins and impute them (Ge3:9-14).

The commandments that God gave to the Israelites (Rm7:7-9)

Relentlessly pursued the sinner (Ps139:7-8).

Not understanding this, however, Job insisted on his innocence and thus

The search for his sin continued (Job10:4-7).

David, on the other hand, knew his sins and was contrite, for which

He was forgiven (Ps51:3-17).

The sin offering given in the sanctuary

Set them free from the sins they committed as

They confessed their sins over the scapegoat and the sins were imputed on it, which then was

Sent out into the wilderness to be eaten by Azazel (Lev16:8-10, 20-22).

Yeshua said, "Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days" (Jn2:19), because

Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,

He would become the atoning sacrifice for all men (Jn1:21).

However, because He revealed that He came in the Father's name, Yeshua,

He was persecuted (Jn5:43).

Yet He saved from their sickness

Those risked being put out of the synagogue (Jn9:22) and cried out His name (Mk10:47).

As He died, He said, "It is finished" (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Lowered Himself to the point of death and gave glory to the Father, the Lord (Php2:6-11);
2) Judged Satan who denied the Head (Lord) (Is14:12-15); and
3) Carried the sins of all men and redeemed them (Mt20:28).

He resurrected and sat on the heavenly throne as the Lord of all.

The Holy Spirit whom He sent

Lets believers know that though men killed Yeshua

God raised Him back to life and made Him Lord and Christ (Ac2:36-38).

He lets them confess that He is the sinless Son of God (1Jn2:23),

The Son of Man who came in the flesh to taste death (1Jn4:2-3), and

The resurrected Lord of glory (Rm10:9).

The Christian risks shame and even his life to

Confess before men that Yeshua is his Lord for

He hopes for that day when Yeshua to acknowledge him before the Father and His angels, and

His name will never be blotted out from the book of life (Rev3:5).

When he confesses the sins that he still commits and is contrite about them,

He is forgiven and rescued (1Jn1:8-9), and

He will finally be saved (Rm10:9-10).

O Lord,

Since You remained silent and carried my sins and were eaten by Azazel,

Until my last breath

Let me shout out and confess that Yeshua is Lord! Amen.
