Commit Your Life to the Lord

(Pr16:3; Jn6:5-15)

God is the Lord who manages (Is14:27).

He supervises over all things and

What He manages He makes successful (Is14:24).

Faith is trusting Him and

The life of this faith is committing to Him all of one's things, his soul, his body, his family, his livelihood.

Depending on to whom one commits one could succeed or fail.

Whether it is managing the finance of a nation or a private household,

The person to be trusted with would be under a lot of scrutiny and examination.

The Bible is God's credit score: it directs believers to trust in His hand.

At the age of 100, with his body as good as dead

Abraham gave birth to a son (Rm4:17-20).

Jacob who crossed the Jordan with just a staff

Returned to his father's house as a wealthy man after 20 years (Ge32:10).

Joseph was sold as a slave at the age of 17 but later

Became a second-in-command and led Egypt to become the most powerful nation (Ge39:1-41:57).

The Israelites who had been slaves for 400 years in Egypt

Left with all the treasures of Egypt (Ex12:35-36) and

For 40 years they had their table spread out for them in the wilderness with

The abundant supply of manna from heaven and even quails (Ps78:19-28).

Furthermore, even the prophets who were called the men of God,

When entrusted with others' last meals

Provided them abundantly until the end of the famine (1KI17:14-16; 2Ki4:1-7).

Referring to the sanctuary where the vase with manna which reminded them this,

Yeshua said, "Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days" (Jn2:19), because

Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,

He would become the managing Lord to those who commit to Him.

He showed signs: He turned water into wine at the wedding banquet in Cana (Jn2:1-10); and

Fed 5000 in the wilderness with two fish and five loaves of bread and

Still having a leftover of 12 baskets (Mt14:18-20).

Because He refused their wish to entrust Him with their kingdom (Jn6:15),

Those disappointed Jews put Him to death.

However, as He died, He said, "It is finished" (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Committed His life in the Father's hands (Lk23:46);
2) Judged the devil who challenged the throne (Is14:12-15; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Through one man's death made a way for many to be made righteous (Rm5:19), dying as a kernel of wheat (Jn12:24).

He resurrected and sat on the heavenly throne and

The Father entrusted Him with all things (Eph1:20-21).

The Holy Spirit whom He sent

Comes in the souls of those purchased by His blood and

Lets them know that Yeshua is the best manager and therefore

Lets them commit all things to Him.

The man of the Spirit is he who,

Without hesitance

Commits in the Lord's hands all his possession, even all that he has to live on (Lk21:4; Ac4:36) and

Lets the Lord manage his soul, his health, his family and his livelihood.

The foolish man is he who

Attempts to manage on his own until the end (Lk12:16-21) and

Ultimately his soul becomes troubled and his flesh is destroyed (Ac5:1-11).

O Lord,

Who is my managing Lord?

Me or Yeshua?

I do not care if others call me foolish, unplanned, unprepared.

I commit my all, my soul, my health, my family, my ministry

To the greatest CEO, Jesus Christ! Amen.
