God Will Not Surpass the Truth
(Ps119:43; Jn14:6)
God is the God of truth (Ps31:5).
Truth comes from Him (Jn1:17) and His words are true (He6:18).
He gives birth through the word of truth (Jas1:18) and
He nurtures through the word of truth (Ecc12:10-11).
Faith is believing the word of truth and
The life of this faith is discernibly hearing the word of truth (Job12:11; 2Ti2:15) and responding
according to the word (He6:7-8).
Truth refers to a principle that does not change.
While men attempt to exam it and arrive at it through science and religion,
They can never achieve it because this world, its traces and men all change,
Following the truth of nature that God placed in the creation in the beginning (Ge1).
The only truth is the law, the word (Ps119:142; Jn17:17), which is
What God wants men as souls to hear:
The word of the truth (Col1:5), the word of the Son (He1:2), the word of Christ (Rm10:17),
The word of the Lord (He2:3), the word of faith (Rm10:8).
But Adam the ancestor of mankind listened to the words of the serpent, the devil (Rev12:9), who
In the spiritual heaven listened to his own heart and left his proper position (Is14:12-15),
Consequently contained in Hades until the great day of judgment (Jude1:6),
Ate the forbidden fruit and sinned (Ge3:4-6).
All men became bound for hell (Mt25:41) desiring to hear lies for their father is a liar (Jn8:44).
When warned by God, Noah by faith built an ark and
Saved his family from the deluge that destroyed all men (He11:7),
While Lot’s sons-in-law considered the angels’ warning as a joke and
They were destroyed with Sodom by burning sulfur (Ge19:14-25).
The Law of Moses given to Israel warned them to not be deceived, that
There is no other true god but the LORD (Ex20:1-7) which was reminded through
The temple where the name Jehovah was and
The tablets of the covenant law that Moses brought down
After speaking with the LORD were (Ex34:29-32).
In spite of that, the people foolishly did not lend their ears to the prophets who
Spoke the word of the LORD that came to them (1Ki18:1).
Instead, they listened to the enticing words of the false prophets who
Never heard from God (Eze13:6, 8-9) and thus the curse continued (Jer27:9-10; Da9:13).
Yet there was a prophecy of the LORD returning to
Jerusalem which would be called the City of Truth (Zec8:3) and
One who would have true instruction in his mouth, nothing false found on his lips (Mal2:6).
Yeshua came and said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
In not the name of Jehovah but Yeshua the Father’s name (Jn5:43),
He would let all hear the word spoken not through angels or Moses (Mt17:1-5; He2:2)
But through the Son, that is the word of the truth (He1:1-2).
He is the incarnate Word who was with the true Father in the beginning (Jn1:1, 14),
The Truth who cannot lie: Yeshua = the truth, the word of Yeshua = the word of the Father,
The word of the Father = the truth (Jn14:6, 24, 17:17).
As such, He warned them to listen to His words (Mt17:5; Jn5:46-47, 10:25).
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Laid down His life as the last Adam according to the Father’s word spoken to the first Adam,
testifying that the Father’s word is truth (Ge2:17, 3:4; Jn10:18, 17:17; 1Co15:45);
2) Judged the devil the liar (Ge3:4; Jn8:44; 1Jn3:8); and
3) By coming in the likeness of sinful flesh fulfilled the requirement of the Law (Rm8:3-4) and
with His blood, the word of the truth, gave birth to children (1Pe1:23; Jas1:18).
His resurrection is the truth for
It testified that Yeshua is the truth, the true God (Jn11:25, 14:6; 1Jn5:20).
The Spirit of truth whom He sent from the heavenly throne
Reminds of the word of Yeshua in those born again in His blood (Jn14:26, 16:13).
The Christian knows the truth that set him free from the law of sin and death (Jn8:31-32; Rm8:1-2).
Therefore in freedom he does according to the truth (Jas1:22-25).
Discerning between the word of the truth and false teaching (1Co2:13-14),
He rejects empty words that sound sweet to the ear and
Rather loves to hear the words that correct, rebuke and encourage (1Ti6:3-5; 2Ti4:1-4).
He boasts the truth (Php3:7-9) and
Strives to become a pillar of the church built on the foundation of the truth (1Ti3:15; Rev3:12).
O Lord,
Nothing in this world is true, no word in this world is true
Except the word of the Truth, Yeshua!
What an honor it is for this foolish man, this rubbish life to know this precious truth!
Only the truth let us all hear, speak and live accordingly and
Until You return let the Church of Jesus continue to declare the word of the Truth alone! Amen.

God Will Not Surpass the Soul
(John 6:63; Romans 8:5-14)
God is Spirit (Jn4:24).
He is invisible but exists and
He rules by His word and
Guides His children by the Spirit of God and inherits them the spiritual heaven (Rm8:14).
Faith is believing, “God is Spirit, I am spirit” and
The life of this faith is living according to the spirit, that is, as spirit putting to death the deeds of the flesh (Rm8:13).
The Bible illustrates three different types of spiritual beings:
God (transcendent); angels (intermediate); and man (limited).
Man (Ge1:27): flesh + person (intelligence, emotion and free will);
Adam: man + the breath of life —> a living being (Ge2:7);
After the dust body (the outward man) dies —> to dust (2Co4:16) but
The soul (the inward man) eternally exists (Rm7:22).
For food the flesh eats bread, the soul the word of God (Dt8:3; Mt4:4).
God commanded Adam to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Ge2:17)
But deceived by the devil he disobeyed and ate, which was sin.
As a result, death, the price of sin entered all men (Rm5:12, 6:23), all destined for hell (Mt25:41).
To reveal sin and death its price, God gave the Law to Israel (Rm5:13, 7:9-13),
While in the temple sinners gave atoning sacrifices:
The fat of the animal sacrifice was burned at the altar (Lev4:10) and
Its blood was poured at the base of the altar and sprinkled inside the sanctuary (Lev4:18) for
It is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life (Lev17:11).
Yet these were only external regulations regarding the flesh,
A shadow of the good things that were to come (He9:10, 10:1-4).
Thus, Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,”
Because through the death and the resurrection of the temple of HIs body (Jn2:19-21),
Not animal sacrifice but the Son of God would become a ransom (Mt20:28; Jn1:29),
For not only a selective people of Israel but the souls of all nations and
Set sinners free from the price of sin (Jn8:32) for
The Word in the beginning who is God became flesh, the Spirit became flesh (Jn1:1-2, 14).
He came as the last Adam, the life-giving spirit, to give the life in Him (Jn1:4, 6:63)
To the living spirit, the first Adam (1Co15:45-47).
He died and said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Laid down His life according to the Father’s command to receive it back (Jn10:17-18, 12:50);
2) By belonging to flesh and blood destroyed the ruler of death (He2:14); and
3) With His blood redeemed the sins of all men and spilled His life on souls, so that whoever
receives would be set free from the slavery under the devil (Jn3:16; Rm8:1-2).
He resurrected and ascended to the throne of heaven.
He is the Lamb who has eternal marks of death (Rev7:17).
The Holy Spirit comes to those who have the the Spirit of Christ (His blood) (Rm8:9-11) and
Leads men of flesh grow up to be men of spirit so
Those who once moved by the commands of their physical senses, intelligence, and emotions
Now move by the commands of the Spirit of God.
The man of the Spirit is a man of spirit who
Never forgets, “I am a soul and this is my flesh!” and
So the goal of his life is for the soul and that is eternal life.
He receives the word of Christ as command and obeys
For it is the food for the soul (Jn6:63, 68, 12:50), and does not worry about his flesh (Mt6:25-34).
The top priority of his life is to follow the Lord and
Proclaim the kingdom of God (Mt16:24-25; Lk9:59-62).
He puts effort to live according to the spirit, putting death to the deeds of the flesh (Rm8:12-13),
Distancing himself from the wicked, the worldly and the fleshly (Ps1:1; 1Jn2:16) and
Clings to the church where men of spirit abide (Jn15:4-6).
O Lord,
“I am a soul!”
Let us never forget this undeniable truth even for a moment!
For God never surpasses the soul
Let us never surpass the top priority of the soul.
Let us gain strength in our souls and use this flesh as Your vessels (2Ti2:21).
Let us be in the company of men of spirit and become men of spirit! Amen.

God Will Not Surpass Holiness
(Lev19:2; He12:14)
God is holy.
His nature, His name are holy (2Ch29:16) and He dwells in a holy place (Ex3:5).
He meets with those who are holy and speaks to them (Ex25:22).
Faith is believing that my soul has been made holy by the blood of Yeshua (He10:29) and
The life of this faith is obeying the sacred command and becoming sanctified (1Pe1:15-16, 2Pe2:21).
Holiness (kadosh) which is flawless and spotless is the nature of God and
Sanctification is the process of being set apart which is
By the truth, the word of the Father (Jn17:17) for the soul made holy by the blood of Yeshua.
Hades is the depths of the pit that contains the unclean,
Satan and his angels who sinned in the spiritual heaven (Is14:12-15; Eze28:12-16).
Deceived by Satan the devil, Adam, the living being, sinned (Ge3:4-6) and
All men became unclean in the spirit (Ge3:4-6; Rm5:12),
Destined to follow the devil to hell (Mt25:41).
The Bible is the history of separation work:
During the creation, God made the seventh day holy and called it holy sabbath (Ge2:3; Ex16:23);
God set Israel apart from the nations (Lev20:24), a holy people (Ex19:6);
Where God was present was called a holy ground (Ex3:5, 19:23); and
The Law called holy those who kept the decrees (Ex22:31; Lev20:8).
Above the atonement cover of the ark where the name Jehovah was (Ex25:22)
In the Most Holy Place of the sanctuary was the presence of God.
Only the high priest wearing a turban with a plate of pure gold that said “HOLY TO THE LORD”
Entered with blood once every year (Ex28:36; He9:7).
The tabernacle and everything in it and the priestly garments were
Anointed with oil and sprinkled with blood to consecrate them (Ex40:9-13; He9:22).
The Israelites were commanded to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy,
The day the Creator finished His work and rested by making it holy (Ge2:3; Ex20:8-11),
So breaking the Sabbath was breaking holiness (Ex31:14).
In addition, they were to not defile themselves by eating unclean things (Lev11:1-47, 18:29), and
Even breaking one commandment meant death for God alone is holy (Ex28:43).
But the fall of Israel came because they followed the evil ways of the land
Polluted by the corruption of its people (Ezr9:11; Eze23:29).
Yeshua came and said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
He would shed His own blood to make holy the souls of all nations (He10:10) and
Sanctify them by the Father’s word, the truth (Jn17:17)
For He is the Word, the holiness, in the beginning who became flesh (Jn1:1, 14).
While unclean spirits recognized His holiness (Mk1:24-25; Lk4:33-34),
The blind Pharisees who considered themselves as holy did not (Mt15:1-20, 23:16).
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Obeyed the word (the commandment) in the beginning and sanctified Himself (Jn17:19) and with His blood purified the heavenly sanctuary defiled by the angels (He9:11-12, 23:24);
2) Judged the origin of sin, the most unclean, the devil (1Jn3:8); and
3) Opened the fountain of blood that cleanses souls (Zec13:1) to be sanctified by the truth (Col1:22; He10:10, 14).
He resurrected and entered the Holy City.
As the perfect, eternal high priest He serves the Father (He7:26-27).
The Holy Spirit enters the souls sanctified by the blood of Yeshua as God’s temple (1Co3:16-17) and
To lead to holiness commands (Rm6:19):
The church purchased with the blood of God — forbids secularization (Ac20:28; Rev2:18-21);
The souls cleansed by the blood of Yeshua — urges sanctification.
By the blood of Yeshua the Christian began to be sanctified and
Continually washes with water through the word of Yeshua (Jn13:10, 17:17; Eph5:26).
He sets himself apart on the Lord’s Day,
The day in which Yeshua resurrected and revealed His holiness and made the day holy,
Revealing his own holiness by worshipping in the gathering of the name Yeshua (Mt18:20).
He purifies himself from everything that contaminates body and spirit (2Co7:1; 1Th4:3-5) and
Strives to be separate from the ways and the impurities of the world (2Co6:14-17; Eph2:2),
For no sacrifice is left for turning back on the sacred command and sinning (2Pe2:20; He10:26-29).
When Christ returns he longs to be dressed in clean fine linen and
As a member of the pure bride of Christ enter the Holy City (Rev19:8, 21:2).
O Lord,
The only thing pure in the world? My soul sanctified by the blood of Yeshua!
But my flesh still wallows in the impurities of the world…
Thank You for the chance to repent (1Jn1:9)!
Let us return to Your blood. We want to be holy! Amen.

God Will Not Surpass Man's Free Will
(Dt30:19; Rev3:20)
God is a personal God.
He honors His own free will and also the free will of others.
As a person He reveals His existence and makes relationship.
Faith is choosing to believe and making a personal relationship with Him.
The life of this faith is doing all things by using one’s free will and enjoying
the freedom that comes as a result.
The person is a function for a being to think, reason and reflect oneself, and form relationships.
A personal god is a deity who can be related to as a person, not an impersonal force, and
Has His own intelligence, emotion and free will.
Naturalists or atheists reject the personal God who influences and rules over humans,
While evolutionists who deny the role of a creator, evolutionists argue that
Humans’ ability to choose their fate is not free but based on cause and effect.
What the Bible demonstrates, however, is that God is a personal God, a personal Creator who
By His intelligent design and unilateral plan created all things (Ge1:1),
But the history of mankind involves man’s free will for
God made man as a personal living being (Ge2:7)
With free will to respond to God’s command and form a relationship with Him (Ge2:17).
Deceived by the devil, an archangel who misused his free will in the spiritual heaven and was
Cast down to the universe contained until the great day of judgment (Eze28:12-17; Jude1:6),
Adam sinned and all men would follow the devil to hell (Mt25:41), the result of misusing his free will.
The Israelites were a people who received
Decrees and instructions from the self-existent One Jehovah (Ex3:15, 18:20).
If they obeyed and cried out to Him He answered (Ps77:1) for
God made a personal relationship with them.
Although before crossing the Jordan they chose to serve Him (Dt30:19-20) and
Using their free will brought down the walls of Jericho (Jos6:1-20),
They rejected God as their king (1Sa8:5-9) and
Worshipped other gods and delighted in their abominations, choosing their own ways (Is66:3).
Because of such, God also chose harsh treatment for them and brought on curse (Is66:4).
Still, the temple where the name Jehovah was
Reminded them that the God above all personal gods was their God,
As the prophets cried out for them to return to God and God would return to them (Zec1:3; Mal3:7).
Yeshua came and said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days," because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-22),
He would make a personal relationship that is eternal with souls of all men and
For that, the very nature God, the Word in the beginning,
The person who was with God in the beginning became flesh (Jn1:1, 14; Php2:6-7).
As the Son of Man, the chosen servant of God to willingly serve (Is43:10; Mt3:17, 20:28),
He came and acknowledged the free will of men (Mt15:21-28; Mk10:46-52; Lk8:43-44).
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Willingly chose to lay down His life following the Father’s command and pleased Him (Mt26:39; Jn10:17-18);
2) Condemned the devil who chose his path to corruption (Is14:13; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Through His death paid the price of sin of all men in Adam and by sprinkling His blood made
them a new creation (1Co14:45; 2Co5:17), making a way for them to choose (Jn14:6).
His resurrection proved that He made the best choice.
According to His command the 120 who kept in constant prayer to the end (Ac1:3-5)
Received the promised Holy Spirit who
Comes to the souls who chose to believe and received the name Yeshua (Jn1:12), and
Made a personal relationship with Him as their Lord and Savior (Mk9:1; Ac2:36-38).
The man of the Spirit is he who made his choice to return to the Father (Lk15:11-32) and
Therefore willingly worships, prays, repents, preaches, belongs to the church, serves etc,
Not complaining when faced with any test for it is the choice he made.
He chooses to be influenced and ruled by the person of God (Ac5:3; 2Co:10; Rm8:26; Rm8:27), and
Reveal Christ through His changed life.
He puts every effort to cut off all wicked habits (Mk9:43; He12:4), pray and obey for
When one’s free will becomes corrupted, deceiving spirits work (1Sa6:14, 23; 18:10)
To contaminate the thought to continue the path of wickedness (Jn13:27; Ac5:3; 2Th2:11; 1Ti4:1-2).
O Lord,
What grace it is to have the free will
To choose You as my King, my Lord, my Father!
Help us all to use our free will in the way that pleases You and
Let the personal God be revealed through our changed lives. Amen.

God Will Not Surpass Repentance
(Eze18:30; Ac2:38)
God is the God of mercy and kindness (2Sa9:3; Mi7:18).
From eternity He is merciful (Ps25:6) and
His kindness leads to repentance and finally saves (Rm2:4-5; 2Co7:10).
Faith is acknowledging that one is a sinner before God and
The life of this faith is repenting and turning from sin, for one’s soul to arrive in salvation (Eze18:30).
Different from animals humans reflect themselves by their conscience,
While religions, based on their doctrines, promote self-reflection for a change of heart and contrition.
Christianity, on the other hand, is based on the Word in the beginning who commanded repentance for
Without repentance it is impossible to meet God, receive His help and blessings.
While angels are beings irrelevant to God’s mercy for they have no flesh
Men who are living beings in the flesh of dust (Ge2:7; Ps103:13-14) were
Made to receive God’s mercy which was decided in the beginning.
So God laid the dispensation of His kindness leading each man to turn from his ways (Jer25:5; Rm2:4-5),
From his hell-bound fate with the devil due to the sin of their ancestor Adam (Ge3:4-6; Mt25:41).
The Law given to Israel through Moses is
The righteousness of God, the conscience of God, the law of sin and death (Rm8:2),
For when the commandment came sin sprang up and death came (Rm7:9).
In the sanctuary where the mercy seat (Ex25:22) was
The atoning sacrifice and the guilt offering (Lev6:3-7, 16:34) were given by those who sinned for
God’s mercy allowed them to turn from their ways to live (Eze18:32; Ps86:5).
The prophets who were like watchmen blowing the trumpet to warn the people (Eze33:1-19)
Served the same purpose for them to not die of their sins.
However, the destruction of Israel came since
In spite of the fact that God sent prophets many times (Ps78:38; Jnh3:10)
To forbid their detestable deeds and command contrition (Jer44:4-6; Is22:12),
They did not turn but continued to do evil.
According to the prophecy regarding the prophet Elijah coming
Before the great day of judgement to do the work of turning them from their ways (Mal4:4-6),
John the Baptist came (Mt11:13-14) and
Led Israel to correct their knowledge of God and their misunderstanding of the Law,
Baptized sinners to repent and
Introduced the One coming after him, the only One who had nothing to repent for (Mt3:5-12).
Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
He would turn their direction to Himself for
He is the Word in the beginning who commanded, “Repent!” (Mt4:17).
He came to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance (Lk5:32) and
Appealed to them to escape destruction (Mt12:41; Lk13:1-5).
But He was passed over to death by the charges of the Scribes and the Pharisees,
The self-righteous who did not repent.
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Laid down His life according to the Father’s command and committed His soul
into His hands (Lk23:46; Jn10:17-18);
2) Judged the devil the origin of sin (Ge3:4-6; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Sprinkled His redeeming blood and declared the forgiveness of sin to all men (Lk23:34).
He resurrected and sat on the heavenly throne as the Lamb.
The Holy Spirit whom He sent proclaims the good news of repentance (Mk1:15; Lk24:47) and
Commands repentance to whomever under the heavens (Ac11:18, 17:30),
To correct their attitude toward God and change their mind (Ac2:36-38).
The three different types of sins are:
The original sin — Adam’s sin passed on to all (Ps51:5; Rm5:12; 1Co15:21-22);
Self-committed sins — individual sins and transgressions revealed by the Law (Rm5:13; Eph2:1);
Sins of desire — the sinful nature of the heart (Ge4:7; Mt5:22, 28); and
They are all forgiven when one believes and repents.
As the Spirit urges the churches to repent (Rev2-3),
The Christian repents by identifying himself as a sinner before God,
Bears the pains of the price of sin (Is22:12; Lk18:13), and treats sin gravely (Job42:6; He12:4).
So he repents and repents and turns and turns from his ways of:
Forgetting God in his thought (Rm1:28-32, 2:5), living not unlike the world (Mt6:24; Jas4:8),
Not doing by faith (Rev2:4-5), knowing good but not doing it (Rm7:19), neglecting neighbors (1Jn3:17),
Not forgiving a brother even for the smallest mistake (2Ti3:3), his pride (2Ti3:2) etc
For God promises to forgive and help those who confess (1Jn1:9).
O Lord,
Thank You for
Opening the way of repentance for us, such wretched men!
We are grateful that You break us down…
Let Your kindness lead me and my family to repent.
Give us all the spirit of repentance! Amen.

God Will Not Surpass Prayer
(Ps40:17; Mt6:5-14)
God is merciful and faithful (Dt4:31, 7:9).
When the needy cries out He helps and saves them (Ps72:12-13).
Faith is putting trust in God as the help for my soul (Ps146:5).
The life of this faith is obeying according to God’s command and praying (Jn12:50, 14:13) and
This is to receive God’s help in this life and to have eternal life in the life to come.
All religions are acts of pleading for supernatural protection for
When humans reach their limits they seek help for finding help in distress is most critical.
But Christianity is about obeying according to what the Word in the beginning commanded,
As God does not surpass prayer even though He wants to and is able to give all (Rm8:32).
Prayer is the act of telling (confessing) and seeking, especially seeking God’s help (Ps119:10) and
The history of the Bible is the story of humans crying out and God helping them.
The exodus of Israel from the toils of the slavery of 430 years (Ex2:23-25, 3:9-10) and
The leadership of Moses who led the people in the desert for 40 years (Ex15:23-25, 11:1-2) were
All possible by crying out to God.
The Law warned that God hears the cry of those who face unfairness (Ex22:22-26).
Hannah prayed excessively and received her son Samuel (1Sa1:13-17), and
Prophet Samuel who was born through prayer vowed to not sin by failing to pray (1Sa12:23).
Prophet Elijah, though a man, prayed earnestly and it did not rain for three years and six months.
Again he prayed and heavens gave rain (1Ki18:42-45; Jas5:17-18).
During his confrontation with the false prophets on Mount Carmel
He brought down fire from heaven and burned up the sacrifice
Testifying that the LORD Jehovah was God — all possible by crying out and praying (1Ki18:20-40).
However, when the stiff-necked people of Israel received rest they again did evil (Neh9:28).
When in need, they called for help from Egypt (Is30:7, 31:3) and
They were undecided for the faithful One, so the curse on them persisted (Hos11:12).
Yet since the promise to be heard if they in distress cried towards
The temple where the name Jehovah was (2Ch20:9; Ps18:6) remained
They longed for the temple to continue standing.
So when Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” they were upset
But through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
Not in the name Jehovah but in the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43)
He would raise the house of prayer for all nations (Mk11:17).
His public life was marked solely by prayer (Mk1:35; Lk6:12) and
On the last night He offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears (He5:7),
As His sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground He cried out (Lk22:43-44).
For the Father’s will to be done, He sought only the Father’s help (Ps27:7-9; Mt26:39-44).
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Died like a sinner according to the Father’s command (Is53:12; Jn10:17-18), committing His
soul into the hands of the faithful and merciful Father (Lk23:46);
2) Judged the devil the father of lies (Jn8:44; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Bore the sins of all men and said His last prayer for their forgiveness (Is53:12; Lk23:34).
He resurrected, ascended to heaven and sat on the throne.
To this day He prays for those redeemed by His blood (Rm8:34).
The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of supplication and intercession (Zec2:10; Rm8:26)
Gives the power to pray to believers so they overcome their weaknesses.
The Lord’s prayer is the format for prayer, that is, how one should pray (Mt6:9-13):
1) The receiver of prayer — the Father in heaven — sees what is done in secret so knows all;
2) The purpose of prayer — for the glory of the name Yeshua (Jn14:13); and
3) The content of prayer — for the expansion of the kingdom where Yeshua reigns as Christ and for the Father’s will that was done by the Son to also be done in me.
Therefore, the Christian makes a habit to pray daily.
To the heavenly Father he prays earnestly and truthfully, and he repents.
He prays both with the spirit and with the understanding (1Co14:14-17), and
No matter what, he does not cease to pray and does not give up for
Laziness, failing to pray is sin and it makes the Almighty God incompetent and unable.
O Lord,
Our Father in heaven!
My Father who gave birth to my soul in His blood,
Who knows all my destitution and infinitely helps…
I am poor and needy (Ps40:17, 86:1)!
Please give me and my family the Spirit of prayer.
Let us all cry out and pray! Amen.

God Will Not Surpass the Name of Yeshua
(Eze36:21-22; Mt1:21-23)
God is the God of honor.
He cherishes His holy name (Eze36:21),
Made all things and works for His name’s sake (Is48:9; Eze39:25) and
Lifts up those who know and love His name (Ps91:14).
Faith is knowing the name of God and
The life of this faith is knowing His name as my inheritance (He1:4) and living for it.
All things have names for they were named by humans,
Even the gods of many religions in the world.
The Bible lets the holy name of God be known.
The name of God first revealed to Moses was
The self-existent One, Jehovah (Ex3:14-15).
The deliverance of Israel from their slavery was for the name of Jehovah (Eze20:9).
The Law absolutely condemned anyone who blasphemed the name (Ex20:7; Lev19:12) and
Anyone who did not listen to His words spoken in His name were punished (Dt18:19-20).
As such, Jehovah was the name of the God to be feared.
While the temple that God commanded to be built was elaborate and beautiful,
The process of entering there was complicated and strict for
It was the house for the name of Jehovah (2Sa7:13; 1Ki8:17).
When they prayed in its direction and
Confessed their sins they were forgiven and their supplications were heard (1Ki8:30-43).
However, because they put idols and other altars in it, and even the priests cheated offerings
Their kingdom, the city and even the temple were destroyed (2Ki21:4-6; Mal1:12).
Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
He would tear down the house for the name Jehovah, the name of God known to only Israel, and
Raise the house for the name Yeshua, the name of God, Immanuel for all nations (Is7:14; Mt1:21).
While Jehovah as the name “forever” (Ex3:15) and
The covenant made with Jehovah as an “everlasting covenant” (Ps105:10) were
All until the time of reformation (He9:10),
Yeshua is the name of God, the Word in the beginning (He13:8; Rev19:13).
He equated the name Yeshua with Himself (Mt18:5; Jn1:12).
He commanded baptism in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Mt28:19) and
The disciples later baptized in the name Yeshua (Ac2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:5).
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Submitted to the Father to the point of death and received the name above all names as His inheritance,
and every knee bows before His name for the name Jehovah has now been replaced
by the name Yeshua (Is45:23; Php2:6-11; He1:4);
2) Judged the devil who coveted the name of God (Is14:12-15; He1:5); and
3) Redeemed all men so that they may be called by His name (Is43:7).
The Holy Spirit came in the name Yeshua (Jn14:26),
To the church, the house for the name of Yeshua (Mt18:20).
By believing that the name God is Yeshua and calling on the name
One receives the right to become children of God (Jn1:12),
Forgiveness of sins (Lk24:47; Ac10:43; 1Jn2:12), and salvation (Ac4:12; Rm10:13).
The Christian is he who received the inheritance of the name Yeshua and
Does all things in the name Yeshua:
1) Baptism (Mt28:19);
2) Gathering to worship and praise (Mt18:20; 1Co14:26; He10:25);
3) Prayer (Jn14:13-14);
4) serving (Mt18:5, 19:29);
5) Laying hands, healing, speaking in tongues (Mk16:17);
6) Zealously doing the work of letting Yeshua’s name be known (Eze39:25; Ac4:17-20; Php2:10-11).
Although those who live for the name of God is hated by the world (Mt10:22)
To the end they never betray the name for
They long to have Yeshua’s name be written on their foreheads (Rev7:3) and
After death enter through the open gates of heaven (Rev3:8)
To see the face of Yeshua on the throne and be with Him forever (Rev22:3-4).
O Yeshua,
The name of God is Yeshua!
For You never surpass the name Yeshua
Let us from the moment we wake to the moment we sleep
Think of the name Yeshua and live by it.
Father, hallowed be Your name! Amen.

The Will of God
(Job23:13-14; Jn6:38-40)
God has a will.
What He willed before the creation is fixed (Job23:13) and
He certainly does according to what He willed (Da4:35).
Faith is knowing the will of God and believing that His will never change.
The life of this faith is doing the will of God and testifying it (Mk3:35; Ac20:27).
For every man has free will
Those who keep until the end the will they made in the beginning succeed
While those who constantly change their will cannot achieve anything in the end.
The Bible reveals the Word in the beginning, that is, the mystery of the will of God, which
He purposed in Christ to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment (Eph1:9-10).
1) Dispensation: the timetable for the fulfillment of God’s will;
2) Predestination: the establishment of parts for the dispensation of God (Eph1:11); and
3) Providence: the selection for the parts to fulfill the will of God (Eph3:8-11).
What is the will of God?
1) The very nature God, the Son, submitted to the Father to the point of death and so every
knee bows at His name, through which He gives glory to the Father (Php2:6-11);
2) The destruction of the devil (1Jn3:8); and
3) The redemption of mankind — the will predestined in Christ since eternity (Eph1:7, 3:11-12).
Since the ancestor Adam was deceived by the devil and sinned
He was driven out of the Garden (Ge3:4-6, 24) and
All men became looted, plundered and trampled by the devil (Is10:6), who
Rebelled in heaven and was brought down to the earth, that is, Satan an archangel (Is14:12-15),
A predestined punishing club, a rod to punish wickedness (Is30:32; Eze7:10)
For God created the angels and men as vessels to carry out His will (IS22:24; Rm9:19-21).
Illustrating this was the slavery of Israel in Egypt (Ge15:13; Ex2:23-25), when
God hardened the heart of the pharaoh and he was hardened (Rm9:17).
Furthermore, Israel struggled against many world powers such as
Egypt, Philistine, Assyria, Babylon, Medes-Persia, Greece, Rome etc.
It was for the rod and the staff of Jehovah to be their comfort (Ps23:1-6) and
The Temple the reminder of it (2Ch6:8).
While the prophets declared God’s will
There was the prophecy of the One to come and be crushed and suffer
To accomplish the will of God (Is53:10, 55:11).
Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
Not in the name Jehovah but in the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43)
He would do the will of the Father who sent Him (Jn6:38-40), that is,
To raise to life in the last day not the children of Abraham by physical descent (Mt3:8-9)
But the children of the promise by faith (Rm9:6-8).
As such, everything that Yeshua did and said was according to the Father (Jn8:28, 12:49).
To the end He was determined to do not as He wills but as the Father wills (Mt26:39).
By God’s deliberate plan He was put to death by wicked men (Ac2:23) but
As He died He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that:
1) The Word in the beginning came in the flesh (Jn1:1-2, 14) and gave His life as an offering according to the command (Is53:10; Jn10:18);
2) With His own death judged the ruler of death (He2:14); and
3) Through His death paid the price for all men’s sin and with His blood gave birth to the children of the promise.
He resurrected and ascended to the heavenly throne.
He is the Lamb who has the marks of being slain, the model of accomplishing God’s will.
The Holy Spirit helps to
Fulfill the Father’s will that was fulfilled in the Son to also be fulfilled in the believer today (Mt6:10):
1) To carry out whatever the providence even risking life, such as baptism (Mt28:19-20;
Rm6:3-6), worship on the Lord’s Day (Ac20:7), tithing (Mal1:14, 3:6-8, Mt23:23) etc;
2) To put every effort to lose not even one soul given to me (Mt18:14; Jn6:39, 17:12); and
3) To gather into the church that is predestined to face trouble as the day approaches
(Ac4:27-28; Col1:24; He10:25).
O Lord,
The will of God is the Word in the beginning and that is Yeshua!
For God has never surpassed His will and never will
Let us surely know God’s will and do His will even if there are risks and loss.
To lose not even one of the souls given me
Let me die of my greed, my emotions, my will (Jn12:24).
Let the Father’s will be done in us all! Amen.

God Will Not Surpass the Bible
(Jn10:34-35; 2Ti3:15-16)
God is eternal (Dt33:27).
His existence, attributes, and character are all eternal, and
His word is the same yesterday, today and forever (Ps119:89; 1Pe1:23-25).
Faith is believing the Bible as-is, as the word of God and
The life of this faith is having the word written on the heart (He8:10), trusting and living according to the Bible.
The Bible has the greatest authority over all books because it contains the word of God (Jn10:35):
1) Its origin — God, the Holy Spirit — “all Scripture is God-breathed” (2Ti3:15);
2) It contains the record of how the word was fulfilled — the past — prophecies and covenants (Mt11:13; Jn19:30);
3) It shows how the word is still being fulfilled — the present — signs, the truth (Mk16:20); and
4) It applies to all men — whether they know or not, believe or not, no one is irrelevant — for eternal life (Jn3:16, 5:39).
Deceived by the devil Adam disobeyed the word of God (Ge3:4-5) and
Death came to all men (Rm5:12), bound for hell with the devil (Mt25:41).
To Israel God gave the law and the commandments, a covenant of salt (2Ch13:5), and
Promised to remember His covenant with them forever (Ps105:8) for
God does not change or lie (Ps89:34; Mal3:6; He6:17-18).
The sanctuary which God instructed them to build had
The stone tables inscribed by the finger of God (Dt9:10) and the name Jehovah (1Ki8:16),
While the prophets read the scroll in the house of God
Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and spoke the word to the people (Eze3:3-4).
So when Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19),
It upset the Jews who then later handed Him over to death (Mt26:61).
But what He would do was through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
Not in the name Jehovah but in the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43),
Fulfill according to the writing, not only that by the hands of men
But also the writing about Him written before the creation (Ps40:7, 139:16).
Thus the Word became flesh, God came as the Son of Man (Jn1:1, 14).
Yeshua gave the greatest authority to the Scriptures and did everything to fulfill them (Lk4:16-21):
From His birth, His public life, the betrayal of a disciple, to His suffering, His death and
His resurrection (Mt2:5-6, 4:3-10, 8:17, 26:24; Jn13:18, 15:25; 1Co15:3-4).
According to the writing He hung on a tree (Dt21:23) and
As He died He said, “I am thirsty” (Ps22:15-18, 69:3, 21; Jn19:28),
Fulfilling everything that was written about Him.
So He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Died according to the Father’s commandment from before the creation (Jn10:18);
2) Judged the devil the origin of sin (1Jn3:8); and
3) According to the Bible died for the sins of all men (1Co15:3).
According to the writing He resurrected (Am9:11; Ac2:27; 1Co15:4),
Giving the greatest authority to the Bible and the assured basis of faith to the disciples.
He ascended to the heavenly throne where
He holds the original copy of the Bible (Rev5:1-9).
According to the Scripture the Holy Spirit came (Eze47:8; Zec14:8; Jn7:38)
To those who believe the Bible and the words of Yeshua.
He opens their hearts to understand the Bible (Lk24:44-48; Ac16:14),
Writes the word in their minds and on their hearts (Jn14:26; He8:10).
To this day He lets them experience
The written word of the Bible in the name Yeshua (Mk16:17-18; Jn10:35).
The Christian is he who
Daily studies the Bible, receives the word with great eagerness and
Examines the basis of his faith (Jn5:39; Ac17:11).
He receives the teaching and obeys the word as is (2Ti3:15-16):
Baptism (Ac8:38-39), worship (Mt18:20, 28:1; Rev1:8), prayer (Jn14:14) etc.
Therefore, even in dark times of worries and anxieties
He is led by the written word and does not lose heart (Ps23; Mt6:25-34) for
He longs for the written word that says
“Death has been swallowed up” to be applied to him on the last day (1Co15:54).
O Lord,
Like You,
On this one single book of the Bible
Let me bet all my possession, all my life, all my soul.
Let us all yearn to experience on this day the power of the word of God according to the Bible!
Let the Bible be the greatest treasure for us all and our families! Amen.

God Will Not Surpass the Word
(Jn1:1; Mt11:25-27)
God is the God of revelation.
He decided in the beginning to reveal Himself in His time according to His way.
He reveals Himself to those who received the revelation according to the Son’s desire (Mt11:27).
Faith is hearing the word of Christ and having the faith by revelation (Rm10:17; Eph3:3) and
The life of this faith is sustaining to obey according to the word of Christ.
The word (ho logos) is the self-revelation, the self-manifestation of God, which means that
It is not responding to human need or request
But rather the divine decision established in the beginning.
Religion — originates from man — the act of approaching the transcendent — upward;
Christianity — the faith by revelation — responding to the divine call and obeying — downward.
While the Word is God (Jn1:1), it is not the entirety of God; rather it is the face of God (Ps105:4).
It is carried through the words (he phone) of the prophets (Mt3:3), the disciples, the preachers and
When received in the born-again soul and rules over him
It becomes the applied word (to rhema) (He4:11).
The two stages of God’s revelation are:
Ge1:1 — the start of the natural revelation — the creation of time, space and materials by the word;
Jn1:1 — the beginning of the special revelation — the Word came in the flesh.
Deceived by the devil Adam sinned and was cast out of the Garden which then was
Shielded by a flaming sword for God covered His face from men (Ge3:24; Ps10:11).
When it was time God began to reveal Himself
To Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses (Ge18:1-2, 16, 22; Ex3:2, 4, 6).
The God who appeared in the name Jehovah was an angel (Ho12:4-5).
After the exodus of Israel, the sanctuary which they were instructed to build
Reminded them that, “Jehovah is the God who appeared to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob” and
To the prophets He appeared through the word of Jehovah (1Sa3:4).
Even so, however, they forgot Him and brought on their own destruction.
Thus, the endurance of Jerusalem gave them hope for
The Messiah was prophesied to appear before the Temple (Eze44:1-3).
But Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
Not in the name Jehovah but in the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43),
Not an angel but the Son of God would reveal the Father (Jn14:7-9)
For seeing Him is seeing the Father for He and the Father are one (Jn10:30).
While to the disciples whom He wanted, called to be with Him (Mk3:13) He explained in details,
To the religious who considered themselves to be wise, He spoke in parables
Because He hid Himself from them (Mt13:10-25).
Finally when He died, the temple veil tore for
It was the complete revelation of God (Lk23:45; Jn19:30; He10:19-20) as He:
1) Followed the Father’s commandment and revealed what was hidden in eternity (Jn10:18; Rm16:25);
2) Judged the devil the separator (Is14:12-15; Ge3:4-6; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Let mankind believe the revelation of the mystery and obey (Rm16:26).
He resurrected and ascended to the heavenly throne.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of revelation (Eph1:7) who came
To the believers who received the Word and received life (Jn1:4), and
Lets them know God and obey the word of Christ (Rm10:17).
Those who hear the word but do not understand (Mt13:19)
Fall to being religious and blind followers,
While some misunderstand about revelation, prophecies, visions etc (2Co12:1-4, 14:3) and
Relegate to becoming mystics.
He who received revelation according to Christ’s desire, however, is like a little child as
His heart is pure and simple, and he fears the Lord.
For he receives the message with great eagerness (Ac17:11) and
Keeps His commands,
The Lord loves him and reveals Himself to him (Jn14:21),
Opening his ears to understand the word (Mt13:23; Ac16:13-14).
The Christian starts with simple obedience, going from faith to faith.
O Lord,
For God has never and never will surpass the Word,
Open our ears to understand the Word and obey.
Let us become those whom the Lord loves and thus fully reveals Himself! Amen.

God Will Not Surpass Faith
(He11:6; 1Pe1:9)
God is the Lord of faith (He12:2).
Faith comes from Him and
He rewards those who believe Him (He11:6).
Faith is believing that God is living as a person and
The life of this faith is living by the faith revealed by God for the salvation of my soul (1Pe1:9).
No one lives without faith:
Self-confidence — the faith of the natural people — based on one’s own knowledge and faith;
Faith — the faith of God — based on God’s word and the Bible.
Faith is the only element to be adhered to God; with it nothing is impossible (Mk9:23).
What is faith? Possessing the things hoped for (He11:1)
What is the purpose? To save my soul from hell (1Pe1:9)
What do I believe?
The one true living God (Mk11:22; Jn17:3);
Creationism (Ge1:1-31): the theory of evolution is false;
The two worlds: the material and the spiritual worlds, the spiritual beings (God, angels and men);
The Bible: written by those inspired by the Spirit of God (2Ti3:15-17), and contains covenants and prophecies.
For Adam did not believe in the word of God
But rather believed in the word of the devil and ate the forbidden fruit (Ge2:17, 3:4-6),
His descendants, all men, became hell-bound with the devil (Mt25:41).
Abraham is the father of faith for
Once called by God he obeyed and left his home not knowing where he was going (He11:8),
Knowing that his body was as good as dead he did not waver through unbelief but was
strengthened in his faith and gave birth to a son at 100 (Rm4:19-20), and
For he believed that God could even raise the dead he gave his only son as a sacrifice (He11:17-19).
Rather than wealth and prosperity Moses chose to be mistreated with the people of God for
He knew that there is reward in faith (He11:24-28).
Through the many supernatural signs present during the exodus
Israel believed the LORD God of their ancestors (Ex4:5, 31).
In the wilderness, however, they grumbled against God and treated Him with contempt (Nu4:11),
So without entering the promised land all but two died (Nu14:11, 31).
After settling in Canaan, they did not listen to or believe the prophets sent by God and
Instead followed the nations around them and their idols — thus destroyed (2Ki17:13-18).
Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
He would save those who believe in not the word of Jehovah but the word of Yeshua.
When those with various illnesses, such as the mother of the demon-possessed daughter
(Mt15:28), The woman subject to bleeding (Mk5:34), the blind man (Mk10:52),
The man with leprosy (Lk17:12-19) etc came before Him and were healed,
Yeshua said, “Your faith has healed (saved) you.”
Though He rebuked the disciples for having little faith and doubt (Mt14:28-31; Lk8:24-25),
He said to pray so their faith will not fail (Lk22:32-33).
For the joy set before Him Yeshua died and said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), for
The Word in the beginning, the Lord of faith God came in the flesh (Jn1:1-2, 14) and
By dying He perfected faith (He12:2):
He believed that He would receive back His life so offered up His life according to the Father’s commandment (Jn10:17-18);
Judged the devil who sowed the seeds of doubt (Ge3:4-6; Mt13:25); and
Sprinkled His redeeming blood on believers (Eph1:7).
He resurrected and sat at the right hand of God and sent
The Holy Spirit who came to the souls of those who have the faith to be saved (Ac14:9) and
Lets my faith save me.
The danger for the Christian is when his faith becomes an idea or fossilized,
Believing in knowledge (the past) but having no relevance or application in life (the present).
For when reason (doubt) surpasses, faith crumbles.
My faith that will save me is believing that:
Jesus Christ is living and is coming back to judge the living and the dead (2Ti4:1);
Doing according to His word — worship, gathering etc (Mt18:20);
When I cry out in the name Yeshua He will hear (Lk18:1-8); and
For His blood is in me even if I die today my soul goes to paradise,
For the ultimate power of faith is the faith that will save me from perishing (Jn3:16) and
Such is the faith that the world is not worthy of (He11:35-38).
O Lord,
The Faith that was with God in the beginning,
The Faith that Jesus Christ fulfilled!
That faith is in me and it is my faith that will finally save me from Hades.
For God will not surpass such faith, let me never surpass it.
Let me never lose it! Amen.
He Who Loves Yeshua
(Jn21:15-25)
God is love (1Jn4:8).
He holds back nothing from those He loves (Rm8:32), and
Takes those whom He loves to the kingdom of the Son He loves (Col1:13).
Faith is loving Yeshua and
The life of this faith is loving those whom He loves.
Love is a characteristic unique to humans.
For their lovers, family, school, society, people and nation
They will break through their own limits to do great things.
While unlike angels men are weak beings,
They were made as objects of God’s love.
As such, the Bible illustrates human love as its backdrop (e.g. Song of Songs).
After Adam sinned and was banished from the Garden (Ge3:4-6),
God clothed him in a garment of skin (Ge3:21), foreshadowing
God’s longing to hold him in His arms again.
The exodus of Israel took place because of
God’s love for their ancestors (Dt4:37).
His demand from them was
To love their Lord God and keep His requirements, decrees, laws and commands (Ex20:6; Dt11:1).
So they loved the name Jehovah (Ps5:11), His laws (ps119:97, 113, 163),
Jerusalem, the dwelling place of God (Ps84:1; Is66:10) and
Their neighbors (Lev19:18).
However, since they abandoned their love for God,
The people worshiped idols (Is57:8; Jer11:15),
The priests gave sacrifices out of formality (Mal1:2), and
The Pharisees became hypocrites (Lk11:42).
Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I am going to raise it in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-22),
He would reveal God’s love that sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for all mankind (1Jn4:10),
For He is the incarnate Word whom the Father loved since the beginning (Mt3:17; Jn3:35, 17:24).
He called the disciples to love them (Jn13:1) and
Gave them a new commandment:
Not to love one’s neighbor by not harming them (Rm13:10)
But to love each other as He loved them (Jn13:34-35, 15:12-13).
As He died, Yeshua said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Tearing His flesh revealed the Father’s love for all souls (Mk15:34; 1Jn4:10);
2) Judged the devil, the separator (1Jn3:8); and
3) Gave His life as a ransom for men (Mt20:28).
He resurrected and sat on the heavenly throne.
He rules with love in the kingdom where there is only love (Col1:13).
The Holy Spirit whom He sent pours out His love into the hearts of believers (Rm5:5) and
Lets them love His name Yeshua, the truth, the church and souls.
A disciple of Yeshua is he who
Loves Yeshua more than anyone else (Mt10:37) for
His sins that are more than others’ have been forgiven (Lk7:44-47).
Therefore, though he falls briefly, he surely turns back (Lk22:31-32), and
With the love of the Lord who loves sinners like him
He loves the Lord’s little souls who like him are foolish, wicked and still lost.
And he loves not just with his lips (1Jn4:21) but
Also sacrifices himself and carries out the love (Jn15:13).
As such, the world recognizes that he is a disciple of Yeshua (Jn13:34-35) and
He is loved by Yeshua and the Father (Jn14:21).
O Lord,
To Peter who made many mistakes, said foolish things and even disowned You,
You asked the one thing he could confidently answer, “Do you love me?”
Like him, one with many transgressions and sins
I can confidently say this day, “Lord, You know that I love You”…
I will feed Your lambs! Amen.

He Who Sees the Glory of the Lord
(Lk2:1-20)
God is the Lord of glory.
Glory comes from Him and returns to him.
Into His glory He invites those who reveal His glory (Rev21:23-24).
Faith is seeing His glory and
The life of this faith is laying down one’s glory and revealing His glory.
Though it is difficult to explain what glory is,
It is what every man wants to possess.
It is enjoyed by the elected, the winner, and
Those who are above in their positions, power, knowledge, wealth etc.
People consider it an honor just to meet with such persons.
As an archangel, Satan wanted to be like God in heaven (Is14:12-14; Eze28:12-17) and
He was subsequently thrown into Hades until the great day of judgment (Jude1:6).
Deceived by him, Adam ate the forbidden fruit and sinned (Ge3:4-6), and thus
All men became slaves of the devil (2Pe2:19).
Israel was chosen as a people to display the glory of God (Is49:3), and
They saw the glory of God (Ps97:6):
They saw the Egyptian army being destroyed in the Red Sea (Ex14:4),
Manna in the desert every morning (Ex16:7), and
The fire and the clouds above the holy mountain (Ex24:16) as well as
The Tabernacle and the Temple (Ex40:34-35; 2Ch7:1-2).
The Tabernacle was the dwelling place of
The glory of the Lord (Ps26:8) and the name Jehovah (2Ch6:6).
The ark of the Lord was also there — the glory of Israel (1Sa4:22).
So even after losing their sovereignty and becoming captives,
They did kept their hope in the coming Messiah (Ps24:9) and
The restoration of the splendor of Israel (Na2:2).
However, Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-22),
He would reveal the glory of the Only Begotten Son (Jn1:14)
In the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43)
For He is the Word in the beginning who had glory with the Father (Jn17:5).
As such, He performed many miraculous signs and
Healed those with various diseases (Mt15:31; Mk2:12).
Though the people wanted to make Him their king (Jn6:15) and
The disciples wanted to put up shelters for Him (Lk9:32-33),
He spoke of the day when the Son of Man would return in glory (Mt25:27-31).
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Enduring shame, surrender and submission to the point of death, gave glory to the Father who alone never bows down, who in turn gave glory to the Son (Jn8:54; Php2:6-11);
2) Judged Satan who challenged the glory of God (1Jn3:8); and
3) With the blood of redemption delivered men from the slavery of the devil (Eph1:7).
He rose and sat on the heavenly throne and He is the glorious Lord (Jas2:1),
The Lamb who has eternal marks of His glorious submission (Rev5:6).
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of glory (1Pe4:14) who
Lets the glory of Yeshua be known (Jn16:13).
A disciple made by the Spirit is
Honored to have
The precious blood of Yeshua, the name of Yeshua and the Spirit of glory in him.
Therefore, he gloriously accepts suffering, poverty, lowliness etc (Ac5:40-41; Rm8:16-18), and
When he sees his prayer answered or miracles, he sees the glory of the Lord.
He lets down his net, vanity and even his pride (Lk5:1-11), and
Fulfills the Lord’s work as glorious work for
He longs to have his lowly body transformed in that day
Into a glorious body like that of Christ and be brought into His glory (Php3:21).
O Lord,
Give us the eyes to catch a glimpse of the glory of the Lord!
Let us truly have the experience of letting go our nets so that
We could follow You until the end. Amen.

He Who Is Always On the Watch
(2Sa22:2-3; Lk21:29-38)
God is omniscient.
He neither slumbers nor sleeps (Ps121:4).
He observes everyone on earth and examines them (Ps11:4), and
He seats on the thrones those who are always on the watch (Lk21:37).
Faith is being aware of Him and
The life of this faith is being always on the watch like a watchman.
The life of a watchman is staying awake.
Like the antennas of an insect, he has to be always on, always sensitive
Because if he gets drunk or falls asleep
He cannot stop intruders or enemies who could overtake at any time.
All men became slaves of the devil (2Pe2:19) and
Became foolish and senseless (Jer5:21) by
The surprise attack of the serpent who through Eve deceived Adam to sin (Ge3:4-6).
The people of faith are those whose spiritual antennas are always on.
Noah was warned by God about things not yet seen and
Built an ark and saved his family from the deluge (He11:7).
Moses heard the voice of God who called him (Ex3:4-8) and
Carried out the exodus of Israel.
When he had not known Jehovah yet, the young Samuel (1Sa3:1-18)
Heard the voice of God calling his name and
Prophesied the curse that would bring down the house of the priest Eli.
The Israelites who were surrounded by gentiles
Erected watchtowers around their city and placed watchmen so that
Taking turns they would guard it day and night (Neh7:3; Is21:8).
The temple where the name Jehovah (1Ki8:29) was
The reminder for the people of Israel that Jehovah was their high tower, their watchman
For the promised land of Canaan their inheritance.
As watchmen see things ahead, they are foreseers, prophets, and
Israel was a kingdom of prophets.
According to God’s promise to Abraham (Ge18:18),
When the LORD will return to Zion they would see with their own eyes (Is52:8).
As such, Simeon was awake in the spirit and waited for Him (Lk2:25-33) so
He saw Yeshua with his own eyes, the fulfillment of the prophecy.
Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,”
Because through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-22),
In the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43), He would become the high tower, the watchman (2Sa22:3)
For all men to see ahead the Father’s house in heaven.
He knew the hour of His death, Judas who would betray Him and
Those whom He had chosen (Jn13:1, 11, 18) for
He is the Word in the beginning, the God who foreknew (Jn1:1, 14; 1Pe1:20).
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Fulfilled the Father’s will established before the creation (Jn10:17-18; Ac2:23; He1:2);
2) Judged the devil who confused all mankind (Ge3:4-6); and
3) With His redeeming blood raised to life the spirit of all men (Rm8:9; Eph1:7).
He resurrected and sat on the heavenly throne, the high tower from where
He sees with His eyes that are like blazing fire (Rev1:14, 2:18, 19:12).
The Holy Spirit whom He sent
Lets the souls purchased by the blood of Yeshua
Discern (1Co12:10), between the Spirit of truth and deceiving spirits (1Ti4:1-2; 1Jn4:6), and
Hear the footsteps of the coming Lord.
The disciples of Yeshua are watchmen.
To not be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life (Lk21:34-36), and
Become dull in their spiritual sensitivity,
They are always on the watch and pray (Mt26:41; Col4:2).
Although keeping their post alone on the watchtower can be lonely
They shout, “The Lord is coming soon!” and
Awaken souls by sounding the trumpet (Eze33:19) so
On the day the Lord appears a second time, they will see His face first.
O Lord,
Though we live in the world, let us not be entangled with the world (2Pe2:20-22).
Every minute, every second…
Let us be awake and let our spiritual sensitivity be at its height! Amen.

Those Who Have Zeal
(Ps69:9; Jn2:13-22)
God is zealous.
He is zealous for His good works and
What He spoke in His zeal He accomplishes it (Eze5:13; Is9:7, 37:23).
Faith is admiring and longing for Him and
The life of this faith is with the zeal of God being zealous until the end.
Zeal allows people to focus so
Whether it is academics, business, work, athletics, arts etc
Those who have zeal until the end can succeed,
But those do not have zeal in everything they do, those who cool off along the way would
Only become dropouts.
During the creation the zeal of God was revealed through all things He created (Rm1:20).
Even though they will all be burned up one day, He made them all differently a whole variety of them.
In the Bible there are those who lived zealously according to the word of God and succeeded:
Noah who built the ark and saved his entire family from the judgment by deluge (He11:7),
Abraham who gave his only son whom he received at 100 (He11:17),
Jacob who grasped the blessing from the angel with whom he wrestled (Ge32:28).
During the exodus of Israel God mobilized 10 plagues and
It was according to the world that the zeal of the LORD would accomplish it (Ge15:13; Is9:7).
For the people whom He chose, Israel, were also extremely zealous,
The more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread (Ex1:12).
God led them into the wildness and instructed them to build the sanctuary so
They would remember Him and be zealous for:
The name of God — Jehovah (1Ki19:14);
The covenant — He would be their God (Ge17:7);
The Law — they would keep it and observe it (Ex19:8, 24:7);
The meeting place with God — longed for it (Ex25:22; Ps102-134); and
Their seed — their flesh and blood to be distinguished (Ge22:17-18).
So when Yeshua came and said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,”
The Jews who had longed for and had great zeal for the Temple conspired to put Him to death.
However, it was through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-22),
Yeshua should accomplish the zeal of the Father (Is9:7; Eze5:13).
As such He preached and prayed with zeal (Lk22:43-44).
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that:
1) His zeal that longed for the heavenly temple accomplished the zeal of the Father who loves mankind (Jn3:16);
2) Condemned the devil who changed his heart and left his proper position (1Jn3:8; Jude1:6); and
3) Poured out all His blood and water and redeemed all men (Jn19:34; 1Pe1:18-19).
After He resurrected and
Ascended to the throne in the heavenly temple, the New Jerusalem (Rev22:1),
The success of His zeal.
The Holy Spirit whom He sent comes
To those who believe His promise and zealously long for Him (Ac1:4-5, 15; 1Co15:6).
He lets them be all the more zealous with the zeal of God (2Co11:2) for:
1) The name of God — Yeshua (Mt28:19; Jn5:43, 17:11; Rev19:13);
2) The covenant — His return and the resurrection to life (Jn5:29, 14:1-3);
3) The truth — the duty to keep, defend and teach (Mt5:13; Rm10:2; 2Co11:4);
4) The temple — the church, worship, gathering, longing for the heavenly the temple (Mt18:20; 1Co3:16; 1Ti3:15; He9:23-24); and
5) Souls — having the zeal to save souls (Ac1:6; Tit2:14).
The distinctive characteristics of disciples of Yeshua is that
They are all zealous.
Even if they are persecuted they continue to preach (Ac4:18-20),
When speaking in tongues they do it like their tongues are set on fire (1Co14:18), and
With zeal they serve whatever the given work, given opportunity for
They long to not be found as lukewarm and be spat out in the last day (Rev2:4, 3:15-19),
Instead be able to enter the New Jerusalem to meet with the Lord (Ps42:1-2; Rev22:14).
O Lord,
We were once all zealous
Losing sleep, praying like crazy, looking for souls
Laying down without regret or fear…so fired up…
Our hearts ache for those days!
Let us go back to our first love, our first passion.
O Lord, let us be zealous! Amen.

He Who Has Chosen the Narrow Gate
(Mt7:13-14)
God is the Lord of faith.
Without faith it is impossible to please Him (He11:6) and
For those who believe Him He opens the gates of heaven.
Those who seek to gain happiness
Through various gates such as college entrance, employment, immigration etc
Must compete all their life and strive to pass through
But in the end no one can pass through the gates of death.
While religions and philosophies focus on the journey as being important,
Faith is choosing the gate that leads to life, the final destination, and
The life of this faith is even if the way is narrow and difficult,
Without turning back finishing the way.
The way to life was cut off for all men (Ge3:24) for
Sin crouched at the door for all because of their ancestor Adam (Ge3:4-6, 4:7).
The Bible shows that it is only a few of faith who can enter life.
While all men were wiped out by water
Noah and his family, just eight of them, were saved by entering the door of the ark.
Moreover, on the night of Passover while all firstborns in the entire land of Egypt died
The Israelites who had the blood of lamb around their door frame lived (Ex12:23, 29).
Moreover, while many chariots and horsemen of Egypt drowned in the sea (Ex14:22-26),
The Israelites went through the sea on dry ground.
Yet among the 600,000 adults who passed through the gates of the Red Sea (Nu1:46)
Only Joshua and Caleb crossed the Jordan River for
They resented God because of the way in the wilderness (Nu14:1-30, 21:4-5).
The temple was the model of the itinerary of Israel:
The courtyard entrance —> the courtyard (the Levites);
The tabernacle entrance —> the Holy place (the priests); and
The veil —> the Most Holy Place (the high priest).
In other words, it was entering the holy dwelling of God (Ex15:13) and
Without the blood of animals no one could enter (He13:11).
Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-22),
He would become the gate for the sheep (Jn10:7-9) and
The way to the Father’s house (Jn14:6).
However, only a few people will be saved (Mt19:23-24; Lk13:23) because
One must strive to enter through the narrow door, like struggling, entering a battle,
That is, entering life, the kingdom of God.
If not, it is the way that leads to destruction, hell (Mt7:13, 13:50; Lk13:28).
As He died the temple veil tore (Mt27:51) and He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Through His death broke through the gate of death and opened the gate to heaven (Php2:8; He10:19-20);
2) Judged the devil the ruler of death (He2:14); and
3) Sprinkled His redeeming blood on all mankind (Eph1:7; 1Pe1:18-19).
The tomb opened before the resurrected Christ (Mt28:2)
For no gate can keep Him out anymore (Jn20:19).
He is the Lamb on the heavenly throne (Rev5:9) who has
Marks of tearing His flesh and opening the heavenly gates.
The Holy Spirit whom He sent
Lets the souls who have gained confidence through the blood of Yeshua
Enter the way opened through the veil, a new and living way (He10:19-20).
A disciple of Yeshua is he who
Has chosen the narrow gate well knowing its difficulty (Mt7:13-14).
He rejects the prosperity gospel which deceives souls and
Puts to death his earthly nature, greed etc which is idolatry (Col3:5).
Even if he has to lay down his own righteousness, will, dream, plan, treasures etc (Mk10:25),
He strives to enter through the opened doors of the church (Mt16:19; Rev3:8) and
Walks the narrow way towards heaven for
God is not pleased with many without faith (1Co10:1-12).
O Lord,
Let us all lay down all our heavy burdens at the cross and
Even if we have to walk the narrow way, the thorny path
Let not even one of us turn back.
When I the soul cross the Jordan, let the gates of heaven be open! Amen.

He Who Always Gives Thanks
(Ps100; Col3:15-17)
God is good (Ps100:5, 136:1).
He shows His mercy (Ps136:2) and
He gives good things (Mt7:11; Jas1:17).
While religions deny this and consider man’s good work as righteousness,
Faith is receiving every good gift from the Father God and giving thanks.
The life of this faith is beginning with thanksgiving and ending with thanksgiving.
The greatest good is showing mercy to another.
Those who receive such good gift cherish and
Can never forget those who showed their generosity to them.
God created all things and filled this universe and
Let men rule over them and enjoy them (Ge1:28).
Accordingly, they developed and improved human culture and civilization.
However, they forgot to give thanks to God and rather became likely to resent because
Adam’s dissatisfaction with God’s command regarding the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil
That led him to be deceived by the devil’s temptation to be like God.
So he sinned and as a result he was driven out of the Garden (Ge3:4-6, 24).
When God sent Moses to the Israelites who had been suffering in their slavery and
Delivered them out of Egypt
They were saved from the death of firstborns by the blood of the Passover lamb (Ex12:21-30),
Passing through the gates of the Red Sea (Ex14:26-31).
So they praised and thanked God (Ex15:1-21).
Once arriving in the wildness, however, they began to grumble against God (Ex15:22-24) because of:
The bitter water, not having food (Ex16:2, 17:3), wanting to eat meat (Nu11:5),
Being led into Canaan (Nu14:1-2), the difficult way (Nu21:4-5).
God commanded them to build the sanctuary where the name Jehovah was
So that they would enter His gates with thanksgiving and serve Him there (Ps100),
Giving thank offerings (Lev7:11-12) for it reminded them of: The attribute of God — He is good (Ex29:46);
What He did (Ps136) — the creation, saving their firstborns on the Passover, passing through
the Red Sea, the wilderness, crushing their enemies, the land of Canaan as their inheritance,
His remembering them in their low estate, giving them food.
They were all thanksgiving for God’s looking after their flesh, their flesh and blood.
Yeshua appeared and said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
He would show mercy in the name Yeshua
To not the flesh of Israel for generations but the souls of all men for ever
By giving the greatest thing, that is the only Son of God, His life (Mt20:28; Jn3:16).
As His flesh tore and He died, He said, “It is finished” (Mt27:51; Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) In His great distress gave thanks to the Father and finished His life, entering the gates of
heaven with the throne prepared for Him, eternally serving the Father (Ps50:14-15; Jnh2:7-9; He9:24);
2) Condemned the origin of resentment the devil (Is14:12-15; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Sprinkled the blood of the only Son on all mankind (He12:24).
He resurrected and ascended the throne in heaven from which His mercy flows to this day (Rev22:1).
He sent the greatest gift the Holy Spirit (Ac2:38) who
Lets believers know what has been freely given (1Co2:12):
God gave His only Son and in His blood is
Forgiveness, love, life, joy, peace, rest, healing, gifts, the right of His children, daily bread,
Kingdom of heaven, the thrones etc.
A disciple is he who always gives thanks (Col3:15-17),
Whether things are going well or not, whether in health or in sickness, whether he lives or dies.
So he considers all things as God’s mercy and goodness (2Th2:13-17),
Chosen by grace, the sanctifying work of the Spirit, knowing the truth,
Even for tests, disciplines, being humbled etc.
On that day when he leaves the gates of the world,
He longs to give thanks and with thanksgiving enter the heavenly gates where
There is only thanksgiving forever (Rev4:19, 11:17).
O Lord,
On this Thanksgiving Day of 2020,
We are especially grateful to be resolved to give thanks again.
Not because our prayers were answered or that we received some special gifts,
But because we have the only Son, His blood, which
We could never lose even if we lose everything else.
So we thank You and thank You, Yeshua!!
Amen.

Yeshua My Sun and Shield
(Ps84:1-12)
God is the God of grace (Ps103:8).
Grace comes from Him and
To those whose walk is blameless, He gives every perfect gift (Ps84:11; Jas1:17).
Faith is giving thanks to Him and loving Him.
The life of this faith is following Him even through the valley of weeping for it is the pilgrimage for He
Surrounds with His grace as with a shield (Ps5:12).
To all living things on earth, the sun is not just a planet
But everything as it is a gracious creation.
It freely gives light and heat (Rm3:24),
It does not change like shifting shadows (Jas1:17), and
Without preferring the good or the evil, it shines on all (Mt5:45).
As such, there are many pagan religions that believe in the sun as their god,
While there is Judaism which believes in the One who created the sun (Ps74:16).
And then there is Christianity that believes in the sun of grace that is greater than the sun:
It is the faith that believes in Yeshua who surrounds with grace as
His blood shields (Ps5:12, 31:19).
The Bible contains the story of salvation through God’s protective shield:
By the ark Noah and his family were saved from the flood (Ge18:3);
By the blood of the lamb the Israelites were saved from the death of firstborns (Ex12:5-13); and
By the pillar of fire and the pillar of clouds, they survived the wilderness (Dt32:10; Ps121).
Even in the Law that they received from God His protection by grace was revealed:
The cities of refuge for those who killed unintentionally (Nu35:6-32);
The law that spared the life of those who took hold of the horns of the altar (1Ki1:50-53) for
The altar in the sanctuary had blood of animals with horns.
Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-20),
He would save all those who run to Him (Jn8:2-10) for
He is the incarnate Word, the Only Begotten Son (Jn1:4, 14),
The sun of grace, the shield (Jn3:16) who
Came to die as a lamb to defend not Himself but the sinners (Is53:4-7).
As darkness filled the earth (Mt27:45),
He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), and died declaring that He:
1) Committed His spirit as the deep surrounded Him in Hades to the Father of grace to guide Him (Jnh2:2-8; Lk23:46);
2) Judged the devil the ungrateful one (Is14:12-15; 1Jn3:8); and
3) By grace sprinkled His redeeming blood on souls and shielded them (Eph1:7).
He resurrected and ascended to heaven and
Sat on the throne of grace (He4:16).
The Holy Spirit whom He sent came to those who
Believed in the name Yeshua and have their souls overlaid with His blood.
He lets them know the grace that the Lord freely gives (Ac2:38; 1Co2:12).
A disciple made by the Spirit is he who
Though sins by mistake, seeks refuge before the throne of His grace (He4:16; 1Jn2:1-2), thus
Turning away the pursue of sin, death and the devil (Rm8:1-2).
He forgives and covers those who sin against him (Mt18:21-22) and
Puts effort to gather in the name Yeshua, that is, the church (Mt18:20; He10:25).
Though he is hard pressed on every side, he is not crushed;
Though he is perplexed, he is not in despair;
Though he is persecuted, he is not abandoned;
Though he is struck down, he is not destroyed (2Co4:8-10) for
The blood of Yeshua is his shield.
O Lord,
Yeshua! You are my sun and shield!
Though You pour out to me every perfect gift,
Many times I thought You might have abandoned me because of my difficult circumstances.
If there is any problem, it is not You…it is me!
O Lord,
Let the fire of my first love burn my heart once again.
Let the tears of my first grace overflow again.
If this is the way You go, even if it is the valley of tears,
Let me finish the way until I can go to Your house! Amen.

Those Who Do Not Fall Into Temptation
(Lk22:28-32)
God is faithful (1Co10:13).
He surely does what He speaks (Nu23:19) and
He seats on thrones (Lk22:30)
Those whose faith has been tested (2Co13:5).
Faith is knowing Him and trusting Him and
The life of this faith is in any adversity never resenting or despairing, and not falling into temptation.
For through tests God examines faith (Ex16:4),
When Abraham was tested to give his only son as a burnt offering (Ge22:1-2) and
He carried it out accordingly, proving His fear for God (Ge22:12)
Thus becoming the father of faith.
The people of Israel were God’s tried people for
He gave them commandment and statutes
To test whether they could keep them (Ex15:25-26).
The various signs shown in Egypt and in the wilderness (Ex16:4),
Leading them the way in the wilderness for 40 years (Dt8:2), and
Leaving behind the many tribes in Canaan (Jos1:4) were
All to test them to see what was in their hearts.
In the Most Holy Place Aaron’s budded staff was left by the ark
To rid of their constant grumbling against the LORD (Nu17:5).
In spite of this, however, among those who saw
The glory of God and the signs in Egypt and in the wilderness,
Only 2 entered the land of Canaan
While the rest fell in the wilderness and died for
They disobeyed and tested God 10 times (Nu14:22-29).
Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-22),
He would become the tested stone laid in Zion according to the prophecy (Is28:16).
As such, even though He is the Son of God
When He was tested by the devil He defeated him by the written word (Mt4:1-11) and
To the disciples who had stood by Him in His trials
He promised to confer a kingdom and be seated on thrones to reign with Him (Lk22:28-30).
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Following the command died wretchedly and proved His faith to the Father (Jn10:17-18; He12:2);
2) Condemned the devil the tempter (Ge3:4-6; 1Jn3:8); and
3) By His redeeming blood shed by grace gave them another chance to stand on God’s testing ground (Eph1:7).
He resurrected and sat on the heavenly throne where
There is no more test (Rev21:4).
The Holy Spirit whom He sent
Lets the souls saved by the blood of Yeshua know that
Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us
An eternal glory that far outweighs them all (2Co4:17).
A disciple is he who
When tested in the flesh, by the family, financially or socially
Is troubled momentarily but rejoices greatly (Jas1:2) for
He knows Job’s perseverance and its result (Job7:8; Jas5:11) and
Faith’s suffering produces perseverance, perseverance character and
Character hope (Rm5:3-4).
So when the Lord Jesus Christ appears
He longs to see the result in praise, glory and honor (1Pe1:7) and
Be kept from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world (Rev3:10).
For he will not be tested beyond what he can bear (1Co10:9-13) and
When he is tested God will provide a way out so he can endure it,
He is determined to persevere to the end
For he knows that to this day
The Lord prays from the right hand of God
For His beloved disciples so their faith will not fail (Lk22:32; Rm8:34).
O Lord,
Rather than trying to avoid tests
Let us face them and break through!
So that finally You will approve our faith
Putting the devil to shame.
O Lord,
After You test me
I will come out as gold (Job23:10)! Amen.

Those Who Remain in the Covenant
(He8:5-13)
God is the God of covenant (Ps111:9).
He remembers His covenant for a thousand generations (Ps105:8) and
What He speaks He certainly fulfills (Nu23:19).
Compared to religions, faith is believing the covenant of God and
The life of this faith is remaining in His covenant even if it means death.
A covenant is a contract, an official promise between different parties and
It is a bilateral and conditional relationship.
Since families, societies and nations are all based on covenant
When a party breaks the conditions of the covenant, that relationship then breaks.
Adam, the ancestor of all mankind, broke God’s covenant
When he was deceived and took the forbidden fruit and sinned (Ge2:17. 3:4-6).
As a result, all men became cut off from the covenant.
Noah, on the other hand, when warned of the judgment by deluge (Ge6:13-21)
Built an ark according to the covenant and
Remained in it for more than one year, saving his family (He11:7).
The rainbow was given as a sign to remind that never again will there be flood to destroy (Ge9:15).
To Abraham God promised the land of Canaan, the fruitfulness of his offspring,
To become the father of many nations and God to be their God (Ge15:8. 17:5-7).
This covenant was given as that of circumcision (Ge17:10-11; Ac7:8).
Accordingly, Abraham had a son at the age of 100 (Ge21:1-2) and
His descendants were delivered from Egypt after 430 years (Ge15:13; Ex2:24, 12:41),
Through the signs of the Passover lamb and other plagues (Ex7:3, 12:13).
The first covenant was made between God and the people of Israel
With the blood of animals (Ex24:6-8);
Its content was the Ten Commandments and the Law (Ex34:26; Dt31:26).
The Temple of Jerusalem was built for the name of Jehovah,
A place for the ark of the covenant (1Ki8:20-21) with the stone tablets of the covenant inside (Dt9:9).
In spite of this, the Israelites left the covenant so
The prophet spoke of the coming new covenant (Jer31:31-33).
Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
He would establish a new covenant with
Not the blood of animals but His own blood (Mt26:28; He9:12),
Not in the name Jehovah but in the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:34)
Write the covenant not on the flesh but on their hearts (He8:10; 2Co3:3)
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Obeyed the Father’s command and believed in His covenant (Jn10:17-18; He1:2);
2) Condemned the devil who caused doubt in the word of God (Ge3:4-6); and
3) With His blood fulfilled the first covenant and became a Mediator for the new covenant (He9:15, 10:9-10).
His resurrection is the sign of the Father’s covenant fulfilled (Ac2:32-33; He13:20).
He sat on the heavenly throne and He is the Lamb who died for the covenant (Rev5:9),
The ark of God’s covenant in the heavenly temple (Rev11:19).
According to His promise, the Holy Spirit came in the name Yeshua (Ac2:33)
To those forgiven by the blood of the covenant (Mt26:28) and
Reminds them of the covenant of Yeshua (Jn14:26):
God being their God, their Father, the Father’s house and
The inheritance of the thrones (Jn14:2, 20:28; Lk22:30).
The Christian is he who
Possesses the sign of the fulfilled covenant (Ac2:1-4).
Therefore, he obeys the commandments of Christ (1Co9:21) and
Remains in His covenant (Jn15:4-7),
Like a branch in the vine, a member in the body, and a building for the temple (Eph2:21, 5:30)
For he cannot live apart from it even for a moment, and
He longs to receive whatever he seeks (Jn15:7) and
To finally be taken up to the Father’s house when he leaves the world.
O Lord,
What is man that You want to make a covenant with him? A relationship with him?
Even if all our relationships in the world fail
Let us never budge from Your covenant.
Let us cling on to this rope of Your covenant! Amen.
