The Will of God
(Job23:13-14; Jn6:38-40)

God has a will.
What He willed before the creation is fixed (Job23:13) and
He certainly does according to what He willed (Da4:35).

Faith is knowing the will of God and believing that His will never change.
The life of this faith is doing the will of God and testifying it (Mk3:35; Ac20:27).

For every man has free will
Those who keep until the end the will they made in the beginning succeed
While those who constantly change their will cannot achieve anything in the end.

The Bible reveals the Word in the beginning, that is, the mystery of the will of God, which
He purposed in Christ to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment (Eph1:9-10).
1) Dispensation: the timetable for the fulfillment of God’s will;
2) Predestination: the establishment of parts for the dispensation of God (Eph1:11); and
3) Providence: the selection for the parts to fulfill the will of God (Eph3:8-11).

What is the will of God?
1) The very nature God, the Son, submitted to the Father to the point of death and so every
knee bows at His name, through which He gives glory to the Father (Php2:6-11);
2) The destruction of the devil (1Jn3:8); and
3) The redemption of mankind — the will predestined in Christ since eternity (Eph1:7, 3:11-12).

Since the ancestor Adam was deceived by the devil and sinned
He was driven out of the Garden (Ge3:4-6, 24) and
All men became looted, plundered and trampled by the devil (Is10:6), who
Rebelled in heaven and was brought down to the earth, that is, Satan an archangel (Is14:12-15),
A predestined punishing club, a rod to punish wickedness (Is30:32; Eze7:10)
For God created the angels and men as vessels to carry out His will (IS22:24; Rm9:19-21).

Illustrating this was the slavery of Israel in Egypt (Ge15:13; Ex2:23-25), when
God hardened the heart of the pharaoh and he was hardened (Rm9:17).
Furthermore, Israel struggled against many world powers such as
Egypt, Philistine, Assyria, Babylon, Medes-Persia, Greece, Rome etc.
It was for the rod and the staff of Jehovah to be their comfort (Ps23:1-6) and
The Temple the reminder of it (2Ch6:8).

While the prophets declared God’s will
There was the prophecy of the One to come and be crushed and suffer
To accomplish the will of God (Is53:10, 55:11).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
Not in the name Jehovah but in the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43)
He would do the will of the Father who sent Him (Jn6:38-40), that is,
To raise to life in the last day not the children of Abraham by physical descent (Mt3:8-9)
But the children of the promise by faith (Rm9:6-8).

As such, everything that Yeshua did and said was according to the Father (Jn8:28, 12:49).
To the end He was determined to do not as He wills but as the Father wills (Mt26:39).

By God’s deliberate plan He was put to death by wicked men (Ac2:23) but
As He died He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that:
1) The Word in the beginning came in the flesh (Jn1:1-2, 14) and gave His life as an offering according to the command (Is53:10; Jn10:18);
2) With His own death judged the ruler of death (He2:14); and
3) Through His death paid the price for all men’s sin and with His blood gave birth to the children of the promise.

He resurrected and ascended to the heavenly throne.
He is the Lamb who has the marks of being slain, the model of accomplishing God’s will.

The Holy Spirit helps to
Fulfill the Father’s will that was fulfilled in the Son to also be fulfilled in the believer today (Mt6:10):
1) To carry out whatever the providence even risking life, such as baptism (Mt28:19-20;
Rm6:3-6), worship on the Lord’s Day (Ac20:7), tithing (Mal1:14, 3:6-8, Mt23:23) etc;
2) To put every effort to lose not even one soul given to me (Mt18:14; Jn6:39, 17:12); and
3) To gather into the church that is predestined to face trouble as the day approaches
(Ac4:27-28; Col1:24; He10:25).

O Lord,
The will of God is the Word in the beginning and that is Yeshua!
For God has never surpassed His will and never will
Let us surely know God’s will and do His will even if there are risks and loss.
To lose not even one of the souls given me
Let me die of my greed, my emotions, my will (Jn12:24).
Let the Father’s will be done in us all! Amen.
